In short: RDA was sparring with Adel El-Tamini, a kyokushin fighter who was emulating Conor's style. When he tried to kick Adel, the iraqian blocked the strike with his knee and broke Dos Anjos foot.

After the injury, the champ tried to put some ice on it, but he couldn't stand on the injured foot. His team was hoping he could hide this injury going into the fight, but as RDA didn't show up to train on the weekend, they decided to tell UFC on Monday that Dos Anjos wouldn't be able to fight.

Damn, this reminds me of what happened to Aldo @ 189. Not again. Big fan of RDA here, was really looking forward for that fight. This sucks. =/
