Rashad weighing 235 doesn't mean much to me. Rampage gets up to like 260 and I'm sure BJ gets up over 200. The concern for me is Rashad is pretty lean at 205, so there's no question cutting to 185 isn't going to be easy, and he likely will have to sacrifice some muscle. I'd much rather see this fight at 205 because it increases Rashad's chances of winning it, but it doesn't sound like that will be an option. If Rashad wants it at 205 they'll just go with Weidman.

I think people are greatly underestimating what it will take for Rashad to get to 185 in optimal condition.

• Rashad comes in fight night at around 218, cutting 13 pounds.
  
• Assuming he wants to cut only 13 lb @ MW he would need to come in at 198(lets say an even 200).

Muscle Mass needs to come off in a SLOW, controlled manner, otherwise you risk losing too much and in all the wrong areas.


REALISTICALLY, without 5 months off-time you wont be seeing a 100% Rashad Evans at 185.
