Media Rarest/Most Exotic Submissions in the UFC/MMA (gif heavy)

A ninja choke is not the same as a power guillotine. A ninja choke is basically a d'arce without the arm inside.

Anyways, tons of stuff you could have added, like Yoshiyuki Yoshida attempted a reverse omoplata against Mike Guymon.

Great stuff.

There was also the Boston crab submission in MMA recently:

Also, Grapevine submission:

There’s a submission I’m trying to think of that I’ve seen in MMA before but I don’t know the name for it.

It’s a counter to a RNC when the guy on the back crosses his feet. It’s like a painful compression of the guys ankles. People don’t usually tap to it but it opens people up like a can opener in full guard would.

If anyone can fill me in that would be great.

For the standing shoulder crank, here's one that actually ended the fight: Aoki vs Wisniewski

No spoiler/pic of your dog?! Disappoint.
aw man I gotta get one up. His name is Lego and he's a greyhound

He's totally silent and has a very low resting heart rate.

He sleeps more than a housecat and when he's not sleeping he just stands there and slowly blinks like Hank Hill

yes!!

Rogan has brought this up as a reason to never cross your feet in that position, iirc

wtf is that called?

edit: timestamped

i think that applies to most grapplers. striking is its own thing.
agreed

ala Werdum and many others

still an interesting juxtaposition of attitudes, imo

one of the things that makes mma so interesting

is the achilles lock different than an ankle lock?

is a toe hold a kind of ankle lock?

I get confused sometimes because there are often subs w more than one name like the keylock/americana or d'arce/brabo

also looking on Valentijn Overeem's FF, I see he won by 'Side Choke'... tf is that?

I really should start training bjj ffs

So I was walking the dog the other night and started a list of rare mma submissions and was wondering if anybody wanted to help me expand/correct it

The SHERDOG?
