No way dude, Fitch's legacy is so overrated. Not his fault to be fair, the UFC would seemingly keep him from fighting other top WWs. Probably so he didn't blanket a potential fresh contender for GSP.

Shields has beat Woodley and Maia in the UFC at WW and those guys are among the best WWs of the decade, one of whom dominated Fitch.

Colby would dwarf Hughes. Yes Hughes was jacked but he was listed at 5'9 while Colby is listed at 6'0. And if anything Hughes seemed shorter than his listed height while Colby looks to be closer to his.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hughes was on roids back in the day but at the same time he also wasn't dedicated to the sport the way modern UFC athletes today are. He was known to train hard only towards the end of camp and didn't seem to cut that much weight to fight at WW.

Respect, but Shields went 4-3 as a welterweight in the UFC. Fitch was 14-3. Both have a resume of some straight killers, but most of Jake's big wins are at middleweight. Also, let's not forget that Jon Fitch has a win over Jake Shields at welterweight.
