Randy Couture Discusses the Sale of the UFC & Brock's Return "It's a Very Very Bad Idea"

"I’ve heard a strong rumor that it is sold,” Couture said on Friday (7:22 mark). “It’s done. It was done a day or two ago. Lorenzo’s (Fertitta) out. Dana (White) is still in. I heard that from fairly reliable sources that that’s happening.”

“I hear the company that bought it is keeping him on as the president. And if the UFC has a problem right now as a brand, it’s an image problem. How they act and how they treat the fighters. The things that they do with their fighters that are in their stable,” Couture said. “And lot of that trickles down from (Dana White). His attitude when he does interviews. His attitude when he deals with the media. His attitude when he deals with his fighters.”

and the "Bad Idea" is Brock returning on only 1 month notice. Which I dont believe Brock only had a month. Im pretty sure Brock as known longer than a month. but thats just my opinion

Thanks, I didn't really feel like listening to that for 18 minutes

He isn't exactly wrong.

More and more sources leaking DFW is staying. Makes sense as it was probably the only way to get the deal done.

Goddamn it they should have gotten rid of the baldfvck... this is indeed sad news if true.

If there is one thing holding the UFC back from being looked at as anything more than a niche sport it's the lack of professionalism. That starts and ends with Dana as far as the fighters, fans and media are concerned because he is the face of the company. Hopefully this new ownership can turn that around.
