Of their top 4 MMA guys, only Rockhold is known for good kicks. The other 3 are wrestlers who don't kick that much.

Do they have a lot of prominent guys in kickboxing to compensate for this or is their name no longer fitting?

Yeah,i was thinking about this the other day. Whats up with that, lol?

Their recent cardio issues are an interesting observation too.

Cain and Rockhold two guys who could fight 25 minutes no problem both gassed hard in their last fights.

Idk but they've lost to some pretty nice headkicks

I guess Rockhard makes up for it because he's probably one of the best kickers in his division

Team Alpha Male only has 135 lb betas.

American Top Team is not really the top team in America.

Hammer House was not actually a house.

They were a good kickboxing gym back in the day before the UFC went mainstream. Then they started recruiting wrestlers like Fitch, Koscheck, etc. if you've gotta solid wrestler and want to turn him into a well-rounded fighter, a gym that has an emphasis on kickboxing would be a good way to go.

DC kicks a lot (not so much nowadays) and he's a very good kicker.
Cain has brutal leg kicks too.
Anyway, the camp was founded as a kickboxing school by Javier, they started eventually teaching MMA but it was still a side thing. When MMA took over the gym, the name was already well established.

That's where Kos learned how to throw his dangerous overhand right.

Javier Mendez was a champion kick boxer, hence the name.
