Finally, a conservative that actually practices was he preaches. If republicans are going to masquerade as conservatives then they really deserve to get defeated in 2020.

I didn't support the tax cuts, but the reality is that if you cut taxes you do need to cut spending. Especially at this stage in the economic cycle.

Grandstanding. Maybe he'll spend his hour reading Atlas Shrugged into the record! I would so gasm...

Practice what he preaches? You are aware he voted for the last one, which had 0 reduced spending.

I watched who knows how many minutes of Rand Paul's "eat the clock" rant with poster board illustrations, and agreed 100% about the ridiculous gov't wasted money on natural gas gas station for Afghanistan but they don't have cars, so buy cars for them, but they don't have money, so give them gov't $$$ via credit cards, setting up Afghanistan pro cricket TV league, but they don't have TVs, Dept of Science study on whether or not taking selfies makes you happy, missing equipment, blowing up equipment so bad guys can't have it rather than bringing it back home, Pentagon is too big to be audited. I'd bet if every gov't dept was audited, you'd find a ton of money wasted or spent on their own personal shit or overpaid to some insider's business gouging the gov't. How does a company with zero employees get big gov't contract to provide disaster meals where only a tiny fraction was provided?

I agreed with Rand Paul, but why wait til the last minute to bring this shit up? How do so many Congressmen allow so much gov't money wasted? We got serious money problems and Chump wants fucking more money wasted on ego parade?

They should just say no more free money to countries like Pakistan, etc.

What Pelosi did was grandstanding. Fuck that cunt and her party.

What Paul is doing is taking a stand.

A grand one.
If you don't like the reasons for a stand, it's grand. If you do like the reasons, the stand isn't grand.

Important difference to understand.

I guess I would respect Paul's specialhood more if he wasn't dedicating himself to turning our country into a corporate wasteland.

Taking a stand on what? He just voted for a bill that will add 1.5 trillion to deficit.
He knew what the end result will be, he is just doing the Paul-life-long-professional-politician thing.

Can't believe I'm quoted Jim Inhofe, but he pretty much nailed it:

"He wanted attention. He got attention."

"Government is not for giving you things you want, unless what you want is attention and an undeserved reputation." - Rand Paul, 2018

If you like the Rand the stand is grand.

I object to objectivism, I cannot stand the Rand so the stand's not grand.
