Rambo: Last Blood

I just watched last blood. Wasn’t really into it. I like the last one more than this one.

Just watched it.

Movie sure as shit did not pull any punches.

Him prepping to murder the fuck out of them was an awesome sequence.

I like that he is just a dude with the illusion of being in control and knows it.

Rambo, as previously portrayed in the first three films, only acts in self defense or self preservation. He is never the aggressor outright. So Last Blood was different in the sense that he was keen on taking the fight to the main villains. I do prefer the first three films as the narrative helps portray the solemn soldier more fittingly. He is thrust into situations he must overcome, and is never keen to unleash his full vengeance until pushed.

I don't know that they fleshed that part out in Last Blood. He just seems angry and old. Even sadistic. He comes across more like an avenger. I'm not sure how I feel about it because a part of the charm is Rambo being thrust into situations he isn't fully a part of, and fighting his way out of them.

Overall, I didn't mind the film - but it needed an extra 25/30 minutes to flesh everyone and everything out.

And where the fuck was Force Ghost Troutman giving Johnny one last pep talk!

I found it really average and hate saying that but just didn't feel like a rambo movie.

I had the same feeling. I felt like I was watching a Stallone movie but it wasn't Rambo. Him being on the ranch and all didnt do it for me. I doubt I would ever watch this one again.

First Blood is #1
Rambo is the 2nd best in the series
2 & 3 tie for 3rd place
Just forget about this one though

I'm watching this right now and so far so good. It got a 30 from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes and a 88 from the users. The reviews from the critics are saying it's racist. It reminds me of an awesome quote from Stalone, he said nobody likes my movies except for the public. :D

I watched it earlier today. It was like a retarded version of Taken. The bloodshed was fun but the movie was shit.

Isn’t he like 80?

next will be “Rambo: Blood thinners, hip fractures and skin tears”

Holy shit. An hour of almost zero action. Finally to the prep time. Hope this shit gets good

Chiming in, just watched this. Rambo 4 was fucking amazing, and the bets of the series IMO. First Blood second.

2 and 3 are meh.

Spoiler. This one sucked ass. He just talks too damned much, and has gone from a scarred hero to a... a father and a sadist. The stupid backyard tunnel was stupid, his actions were stupid which got him captured and his daughter deaded, and tbh this doesn't even feel like a Rambo movie. I don't really even know who this character is. This movie is not Rambo, and doesn't even belong in the series. It's Rambo only because that's what the title says.

This guy nailed it when he said it feels like an end-of-career action cash grab b-movie.

Sad, but oh well. It's not like the series was undefeated before this. But... god damn it Sly

Yea this movie was just ok. I think it would have been better for him to go to Mexico and just turn it into a war zone over there instead of the whole tunnel shit. Would have been cool to see him running through the buildings picking people off and shit. Also he should have killed that girl who delivered his daughter to the sex slave traders. Fuck her and her life is hard BS.

This and Rambo 4 are good. Theyre a little different than the first 3. The 3rd one is probably the worst IMO. This felt a little forced but they had to give Rambo a reason for wanting revenge. I thought it was a good action flick. Hobbs and Shaw is an example of a retarded action movie. At least this tried to have a decent plot. That 3rd act was bad ass!

As stated earlier, this and the last one is shit.

2 words: Digitized Blood

In a fucking rambo movie, of all things.

While not a great movie, I did enjoy the uber violent Home Alone style action sequence in the tunnels. Overall, could've used some more character development.

So why did he have all the tunnels?

Do people really OD on heroin hours later?

He should have killed that Gizelle girl.

It felt like a hardcore Home Alone movie.

David Morrell hated it apparently.

The monologue that was actually pretty good that was in the trailer wasn’t in the movie I don’t think.

this movie was just a let down after 2008 rambo. it was just so stupid from a tactical point in the beginning when he got jumped. he stupidly took his ID whilst he was going to murder the cartels guys what a dumb move. like 75% percent of the actors had porno level acting gabriela friend giselle was such a bad actress.

he could have gotten some narcan as soon as he saw that she was on heroin but the rambo in this movie was dumb as hell.

I didn't care about any of the characters in this film.

I also dont get how rambo wasn't wearing a plate carrier or other body armor if he was so prepared with the tunnel traps and guns it probably would have stopped that bullet to his upper stomach chest area. he also had stealth the whole time but they surprised his that time to hit him with that bullet dumb dumb dumb.

I also found this film to be less gore than rambo 2008 the blood and cgi looked so cheap felt like a bad horror movie.

what the hell was the whole point of having paz vega in this film they could have had a luis guzman as a janitor play her role she barely mattered or did anything.
