Rambo: Last Blood

This one? I guess I kind of see it but isn't there a theme that goes through all the Mad Max films where the dude is legit fucking nuts and each film plays off that in a different way?

He wasn’t nuts in mad max, it was that movie and the events of it that drove him nuts in the following films.

So Yes, and No at the same time.

But there are those that speculated that this “Max” is actually the feral kid, and not the “original” max

https://gunaxin.com/mad-max-feral-kid-theory-hard-proof-continuity-restored

That director used it in his other mad max movies. One moment i remember is when that ugly kid throws the boomerang...or catches it. Its sped up.
I don’t think max was ever sped up, just the feral kid scene.

Gives even more weight to “max” being the feral kid.

Some guy at IGN complained about Mexico being portrayed as some violent slum filled wasteland...as if a good portion of it is not. I'd pay that guy to take a trip into the dark corners of Mexico.

Man, I hope this movie does extremely well, just to piss these people off even more.
Strange, because I saw the movie tonight and it looked exactly like the area where my family lives in Tijuana. Pretty much all of Tijuana looks like that hah.

Probably the worst Rambo movie ever made. The gratuitous violence was cool but the horrible plot and terrible pacing made this move not that entertaining, except for the last 20 minutes of the film. Often times I felt like I was watching a horror movie.

Not sure where the political stuff came from, it was simply some bad guys that felt the wrath due to being, well....bad guys. The last 20 minutes were insane, the final scene wasnt the part that got the reactions from my theater but it was a part within the last portion.

when the guy leg gets cut off during the attempted raid on Rambo

If the bad guys reflect actual bad guys in the world, the libs (Hollywood, critics, the media, and your favorite hip professors) will hate it. If Rambo went up against a mostly white college fraternity (they rape a Hispanic girl), they'd overlook the patriotism and give it a thumbs up

Only way they would like it that I can see is if the white frat boys rape another frat boy, that way no woman gets raped, but the frat boys also have to state explicitly that what they are doing is about power and not sex, thereby clarifying the nature of sexual violence and also not having gay villains.

Rambo can show up to help, but there should be a woman who is better at what he does, and Rambo can't save anyone that isn't white and male and straight and cis.

Since he's on campus anyway, it would be a good opportunity for Rambo to catch at least a couple minutes of a 300 level lecture about intersectionality and oppression.

I know you're joking, but that actually sounds like a pretty good movie.

Loved it and my gf did also who has never seen any of the Rambo films. Definitely would recommend to anyone.

From top critic reviews...

"Rambo was always a product of Republican policy, and his sore loser, crybaby, murder fantasy is a daringly accurate reflection of the state of the Republican Party circa 2019."

Wow, project much? The Republicans are the sore losers?? In 2019?

Remember when movie reviewers actually talked about the movie?

Sheesh, Siskel and Ebert didn't gloss over a movie in thirty seconds and then spend the next ten minutes analyzing Bill Clinton's sex life and criticizing Ross Perot's infomercials.

Mr. Jonathan Rambo should have been present at UFC Fight Night Mexico, to bring some law and order into the place and protect the American citizen Jeremy Stephens from this brazen assault.

This was easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen lol good action horrible acting horrible story

Don't ever compare this to the John Wick series ever again lol
I liked the movie but the gap in acting showed anytime Stallone was on screen with the niece, also the friend chick in Mexico, half the theater laughed out loud when she popped out all chola'd out.

Stallone can never show emotions again after all the plastic surgery. Angry, upset, happy, you got the same expression for all 3. I haven't seen the Rambo before this so maybe I'll watch that one sometime and hope it's better than his newest film.

Rambo in Burma was good but acting wise it's more of the same, just with an insanely high body count. It's more of the open world war setting though, he also talks less which is more Rambo-esque.

It didn't feel like a Rambo movie, it felt like a Stallone movie if that makes sense.

Nothing will ever top First Blood for me, which is arguably Stallone's best movie.

If you liked part IV, aka the most savage movie released in the last 20 or so years, then you'll love this one.

shoutout to Patrice O'Neal's description of the last Rambo, legendary

the only movie on par w/ Rambo IV w/ pure savagery is probably Punisher: War Zone, I know people don't like that movie, but it was outta control w/ brutality

epic scene from rambo 4

I love that dude's commentary.

Quote it from time to time just for the hell of it.

"We only got an inclination of what he is in 1, 2 and 3. In part 4 we're like, "Oh shit! He really does this."

Lol, love Patrice
