Rambo: Last Blood

Yep
Ive not seen this scene since i first saw this scene. CGI blood effects. Sucks.

Stallone doesnt look as old as i remember tho.

And fuck rita.
I couldn't really get behind his motivation there, it didn't feel earned at all.

Yeah, i just found the movie boring. And that finale ending...he stands on a jeep firing a machine gun. yay. All the fluff you see it do is digitized, so its all for nothing.
Fuck, even when he guts the guy, its hardly practical if any at all.

Rambo, first blood 2, we had him fire an explosive tipped arrow at a soldier. We had him go chopper v chopper. All practical.

Im honestly conviced now that some folks just cant see it. Or worse, they do see it and not care.

I bet he did it cause it was cheap.

There's no excuse.
The budget was there, and it is exactly the wrong kind of film for plug in effects.

Gimme squibs, gimme gut explosions and head shots. That's why people go see a Rambo film, ffs.

Yeppers. It looked lazy. Now that hes super old, how likely is it that he went back to his roots?

People have already watched it and i read their reviews, but none speak of how the effects are done.

The blonde bitch.

For those that dont know she was the WORST character in Dexter.

Now I get it. I've only seen like 2 minutes of maybe the very early Dexter episodes.

I remember having -0 expectations of Rambo 2008 and only watched it free on Kodi. I mean, it beat my expectations I guess. I wish I could screen write that well. Stallone is a pretty good screen writer. Even shit movies with a formula are difficult.

He's a massively underrated writer and director. And actor, since he's a two time Oscar nominee and yet considered a straight up bad actor by the masses.

The new Rambo is fucking brutal and awesome

1 part Rambo
1 part Taken
1 part Home Alone

10/10

Just got back from an advanced screening with my wife. Best action movie since the first John Wick. Highly recommend it. The finale is a heart-stopper. Literally.

Halfway through the film my wife (an immigrant herself) shouted, "That's why we need a wall!" <45>

Anyway, great film. Check it out, you nancy boys.

But there was a wall.....

Audiences are loving it, critics aren't.

Hearing some reviews and they really dug it for what it is. Gory, action fun. I may see it tomorrow or tonight.

Rambo was a bit of a mix. Some of the CGI blood effects were glaringly obvious, but not all. Look at the bodies getting shredded in that truck. That doesn't look bad at all, and I'm not even sure how much of that is actually CGI. There are some moments(like the gutting at the end) that are very bad, but for the most part, I think the movie got the effects just right, and there was a good balance between practical and digital.

Getting slated in the papers here. Fuck the papers. I LOVE movies about revenge. Revenge is among the very greatest human experiences.

Mad Max Fury Road is still the top tier for practical effects in a modern film.

Yeah that was good. I didn't like some of the camera tricks they used though. Like speeding up the frames for certain action scenes. I didn't get that, and it seemed like an amateur trick an independent movie would do to cover up their sloppy stunt work.

The speed up frames I personally remember always I thought were from Max's perspective where he's seeing ghosts and shit?
