So he thought it was his siblings address but his phone was also dead, so he couldn't call them to confirm?

The old guy just decided to unload on a random person ringing his doorbell when no doubt he gets mail, parcels, cold call sales all the time?

I'll reserve judgement until the full facts the known, but the MSM account seems a little too good to be true for the BLM crowd.

My complete speculation at this point. Ralph pulled up to the wrong house knocked/rang doorbell there was no answer. As he thought he had the right address tried to look in the windows as maybe a light was on.
The door was opened at some point and Ralph approached and was shot twice in quick succession. As the owner thought he was being scoped out and Ralph thought the door was answered so he could get his brothers.

That's terrible. Darwin tells us, don't look into windows that are not yours.

If that is how it went down, that homeowner really should have tried to have some sort of discussion. The kid wasn't armed. Why gun him down outside?

It was night time past expected deliveries, and again as no official statements from the police the news stations are left reporting the one side of the story due to the protests, or being accused of ignoring the story.

That is MY speculation only, as otherwise the homeowner simply answered the door with a gun and shot him for being black at night going to the wrong house.

Who gets mail, parcels and cold calls at 10pm?

Not defending the old guy. I do believe the whole situation needs to be thoroughly investigated. And the man charged if need be. A doorbell camera would have been extremely helpful here.
 
My father in law just stopped a breaking and entry at his home when two kids were breaking into the back door. He kept saying “I just wish I had my gun”. I’m like dude, you’d be in jail!

Me, I get Amazon deliveries at that time and often get delivery guys asking to drop things off at mine for neighbours.

Point being it's there could be multiple reasons people knock at your door at night.

Is it true the man who shot him was an 80 year old?

Sad. I hope the kid survives. Some people in this country are truly sick in the head. A normal person doesn't shoot a teenager for knocking on their door/ringing their doorbell. That is not normal defensive behavior. This perp wanted to kill someone.
