A: the Czech Republic is gorgeous indeed. My gf's family (we are all Jewish) have had land returned to them there via reparations, and might move back if Biden wins. An amazing place, architecture, people, values, amazing.

B: these guys are very similar fighters, though Jiri has the better fight iq while Aleks has the better natural gifts.

C: Aleks is right, he has a few solid wins in the UFC, and should be looking to climb, not test himself against another hungry young challenger.

It is a shame Corey Anderson let. I would love to see Jiri tested against him. Rakic likely should fight Reyes, with the winner getting a title shot of the winner between Jan and the Santos/Texeira winner.

BTW: Eastern Europe has really taken over 205. It makes sense, large and naturally strong, but not ludicrously enormous people. Jan, Jiri, Aleks, Cirkunov, Krylov, arguably Oezdemir, depending on your view of what larger group Turks belong to.

Jiri has never fought Rakic, and he beat Nemkov (Nemkov gassed because of the 10 minute first round). King Mo KOed him (Jiri fought Nemkov earlier the same night IIRC and was exhausted, and Jiri won the rematch). I think that’s the only KO loss Jiri has. He has a loss by RNC a long-ass time ago, doesn’t he?

That, and Reyes just got all of his momentum killed, Jiri has alot of momentum considering how stellar his career has been in other organizations.

Edit: On another note, the fact Jiri was fighting in tournaments and getting back to back fights in one day is awesome.

I wonder how much much more talent is in international orgs. I remember seeing dudes who were like 6'8+ fighting, as long as they have atleast average skill and conditioning they should do fine at HW.

See, I'd be on his side if he hadn't coasted against Smith. Pretty much seems like he doesn't wanna risk getting derailed by Jiri, and who can blame him, the guy got dropped by Devin Clark.

Yeah. That Smith performance was so goddamn frustrating to watch. Blatant coasting and arguably not even the "safer" option at that point, so it's hard to even defend from that angle.

i think rak is overrated i mean the one healthy legit top 5 in volkan who he face contreversial or not beat him i do think smith is legit too but he was mouled pretty badly not too long ago + not checking leg kicks is somenthing just inseinly stupid aproach so

I am not so convinced. If memory serves, 205 was an absolute wasteland 5 years ago. Then again, if you include DC, Rumble, and what we thought was a prime Gustafson, I can see it.

Naw they can decline but let it be reflected in the rankings...inactivity should cost you more then a paycheque

If you dont fight in 3 or 4 months...then you drop a ranking spot for every 3 or 4 month period you dont fight...that way these coasters or waiters lose there spot to guys willing to fight
