Actually think Fiziev is overrated, but Gaethje is even more overrated, so he probably would still win.

Guys like Gamrot, Tsarukyan, Ismagulov, and Kutatladze would beat both Fiziev and Gaethje imo.

Interesting. He already knows Oliveira will fuck him up and Islam is a bad matchup for him. I guess theoretically that could set him up for another title run but the Gamrot/Dariush winner and Volk imo would be easy choices for a new contender considering he's already failed twice. So idk why he wouldn't just wanna fight another striker if he wants to start a win streak.

If he was from Dagestan he'd probably be a low-action unexciting grappler. Instead, he's quite possibly the most consistently entertaining fighter in UFC history. He's earned the right frankly to do whatever the hell he wants IMO considering the incredible wars and ridiculously exciting fights he's put on for our entertainment over the last few years.

I know UFC contracts aren't public but is it likely that guys like Justin and Dustin have PPV points built in? Otherwise what difference does it make unless you're trying to build your name off someone else, since both of em are as famous as they're ever gonna get.

The UFC protects its American name fighters, and it’s the correct decision. American-born fighters are gatekeepers and journeymen nowadays, you have to hold on to the big names that remain relevant.

If you let every international fighter take them out, you’ll lose a significant part of your fanbase. Look at how many people enjoyed watching journeyman Nate’s last fight, the name matters more than ability.
