What was the question? Maybe I can try to answer it.

here you go:

around 11/3 and 11/4 when businesses and homes were boarding up all across the country in case of a post election fall out...

do you that was in preparation for groups like #BLM and #ANTIFA?

or groups like Proud boys or boogaloos

No way. The 'radical left' in America would be considered center or center-left in any other developed country.

The radical right in America would be considered fascist.

The policies the left proposes are policies with proven success throughout the developed world.

A lot of the reason the 'radical left' exists in america is because we have a broken 2 party duopoly with 2 right wing, pro-corporate, anti-worker political parties.

It's almost as if they are trying to answer the actual question of the thread.

All extremists are assholes, but right-wing extremists are far worse for the country.

never mind. if you can't answer a simple question or debate honestly there is nothing left here for us to discuss.

We're done.

For groups like Proudboys and boogaloos. So that's the answer. But was it really all across the country? A bit dramatic no? Thankfully nothing happened.

For groups like Proudboys and boogaloos (I never heard boogaloos before, is that a gang?).

in every major US City.
so you think it was for Right wing folk. ok, I disagree and riots we have seen thus far have been from obviously BLM and ANTIFA.

I thought the rightwing would go ape-shit if Trump lost. Many were predicting a coup and he will never leave. But I don't think so. Trump is yesterdays news. Biden will bring Americans more together (hopefully) than Trump did. We'll see. Either way ANTIFA and Proudboys will stop fighting now. It's over. Let a new start begin.

I hope so as well and additionally hope that Biden is successful

cheers and thanks again for your candid opinion.

He still hasn't admitted defeat, and his hardcore supporters haven't either. It's far too early to think this is settled.

People can condemn whoever they want, the fact is, right wing thought inextricably involves exclusion, expulsion, segregation, and/or the superiority-inferiority of groups. Left wing thought aims for the opposite (hence the right endlessly accusing leftists of being naive for wanting things to be equal)

In the first half of the 20th century- when the extremes of the extremes took place- this became evident. The Nazi atrocities came straight from the concept of "living space" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebensraum), from Mein Kampf, and from Goebbels' stated, official goals.

Maoist and Stalinist atrocities aren't a product of anything inherently left wing. Political repression and civil war aren't right or left wing ideas. You won't find any work from Mao or Stalin themselves that states or even suggests "Eliminate your political opponents and anyone close to them."

But whether or not Mao or Stalin put it in writing or their "works", their actions were all about eliminating their opponents. Stalin filled the gulags with them, and Mao's great leap forward included forced starvation of entire regions he deemed not loyal to him. The fact that they didn't write out a blueprint stating it seems...arbitrary on every imaginable level.

Some of this also has to do with how someone defines "right" and "left" I suppose. Which inherently gives leeway to present these ideas however one sees fit.

Polite would be correct. Well mannered. Still a lot of major assholes here though, same as anywhere we just mask it better.

Would it be fair to say if the US was more like Canada it would be better off? Sorry quick digression from the original post, though I'd mention why canada may be better and the US needs to copy it to prevent the rise of radicals.

Canada has:
  • No socially disruptive radicals
  • Multi parties
  • Healthcare for all
  • no systemic racism (yes, there is none, if you say there is you are a just causing problems for no reason and please go away).
  • tighter gun control with hardly any gun violence compared to the US

I mean...there's some skill to that though, right? I kinda feel like I admire Canadians more knowing this, not less.

If you think I'm a complete dickhead and don't like me, but are adept enough with your politeness to fool me into thinking you're nice and that you enjoy my company, that's pretty amazing. I'm kinda jealous. When someone irritates me, I really suck at hiding it. Which in turn pisses off my wife, and that in turn makes me less happy.

Maybe I need to venture north a bit and study the ways of the Canucks...

It's an art form. I can't explain it. The game over here is to out-polite the next person.

Er, no (very dishonest characterization of the argument). I said that data on political violence shows that most of it comes from the right (and that's a long-term trend). You don't seem to get the point I was making by showing the Trout video. Mike Trout strikes out a lot. He hits balls weakly. He makes errors. Showing that doesn't mean that he's worse than anyone in particular. There are countless videos of it. To know how good he is relative to another player, you have to look at the stats.

And it's not just that Trump hasn't conceded. He's actively fighting to overturn democracy. You don't think that's more dangerous than some random looter? He's the president. The fact that you and other people sweep what's going on under the rug is what makes it so dangerous.

LOL @ you arguing for the sake of arguing.

As if we all didn't know that this is how Trump would go out on an L. You think there's some real possibility of a doofus like Trump turning America into a dictatorship on the way out? Gimme a break mate.

Trump's harmless as fuck. This is all nothing but a three ring circus and you're driving the clown car.
