Just took this. My results?

93% Republican
57% Democrat

I'm honestly not sure how these percentages are arrived at but it's clear it means I'm more Republican than Democrat. Though in reality I probably best identify with the Libertarian party.

Here's the quiz:

Take it and report your results. And let us know if you agree.

I'm opposite of whatever Donald Trump.

definitely a Lizard.

90% Democrat.
1% Republican.

But I'm Canadian, so it's pretty moot.

id like to think im 50/50. I agree a little with both sides. the FAR Right and Far Left are both crazy IMO

Aslong as you American's aren't voting for Donald Trump we're all good (:

I'm a red blooded American Republicrat. Wait. No. Demopublican. That sounds right.

Funny, I would have thought being pro gay marriage would disqualify me from being Republican but I guess it's not enough.

Democrat 82%
Republican 66%

I think my answered tended more towards Christian thinking. I feel like the more Christians in the USA tend to go for Republican but actually based on policy it's not clear.

This meant my answers on gun control, military spending and welfare pushed towards democrat, while my answers on abortion and same sex marriage pushed towards Republican.

I got 86 democrat and 22 republican.

Not surprised Im pretty liberal but Im also really pro gun. I always get a score like that on these kinds of things .

I'm Irish Republican, if that counts.

It doesn't.

98% Republican
2% Democrat

Only explanation for the 2% is the question about energy and the environment didn't have the best answer I would have said.

Is there a specific reason why Scotland has a vested interest in seeing a non trump president of usa?

edit: 86%R/14%D

This quiz has too simple of answers. It's completely dependent of the circumstances. The taxes one particularly. We need higher taxes but it's only to fund the state and move away from the federal.

This quiz is 1000x better, Shadow. Issues are more complex that the mainline stances the parties adopt for the central committees' ideological platforms, so this one doesn't match you to a party, but matches you to a Presidential candidate:

I highly recommend you answer every question, and look at every answer (i.e. expand each section/question to make sure you answered it fully).

Whoever maintains this thing does a hell of a job with the updates. For example, 6 months ago I matched most closely to Rubio. After all of his major policy flip-flops over the campaign trail (gunning for the Koch money he never succeeded in securing) he didn't even come up in my top 5 matches. Nevertheless, nobody matches well with me, ever. I don't think I've ever notched a match above 75% no matter how I chose to answer the questions, and you'll find there's a lot of questions where you struggle with multiple options that you find agreeable.

Ton of other stuff on that site. It's quite a resource. That quiz is the best of its kind I've ever seen online, and a real hidden gem. I heartily recommend everyone take it.

You might be surprised what you discover about yourself when you see who actually agrees with you. I think a lot of people in this country are unaware of how little these labels achieve to serve their beliefs as individuals.

I'm sympathetic to this. I have views that fall on both sides of the aisle and I also hold no real ill will toward people who think differently.

One thing that irritates me to no end is the demonization that occurs with politics and religion: Those on the other side are terrible people.

Fuck that. We're all people and we all feel and think things. Sometimes those things won't be what everyone else feels and thinks.
