Keep hearing the same things over and over again and honestly this community couldn't be more misinformed.
First off, Aldo is implying the spy came from someone close to Edgar. During fight week each fighter gets a time slot to train (usually around the time they will be going on) so nobody else is in the room besides the "team" themselves.
Yes fighters still go over tactics those final few days before the fight! Why wouldn't they? drilling to peak at the perfect time is the goal, not to take the final week off like some of you say.
Mcgregor stated he had a spy in Aldo's camp during the prep of their fight to get in Aldo's head. Aldo is saying he had a spy after the fact so what mind game is he playing? The fight is already over lol. Another dumb argument that's been mentioned.
The rest is about tactics and strategy. Those of you that say it wouldn't have made a difference how do you know? Aldo said he specifically didn't use his greatest weapon for a specific reason. He also didn't throw a left because he knew Edgar camp was working on counters...you know how frustrating that must have been for Edgar? To drill something over and over again in anticipation for it and it never happen because some scumbag went back to the other team and said don't do this...
If you don't think knowledge is power and to give that power to an already super talented kid and team in nova uniao you are a fool plain and simple.
maybe other camps do it, it's probably been done a few times before, but majority of the time I'm sure it comes from an outside source that is in and out of the gym. Not someone that actually knows game plan and tactics to win a championship fight...scumbag move and no justifying it.
Now off to Aldo vs Mcgregor 2
