Who in the hell fronted money for them to be a real thing? Viacom? I havent been on the forums in a while. And also does everyone like their shows? I do.

I've liked every event they've put on so far.

I think its the same pot of money as Pride. I have been enjoying it, and I am hoping they can pick up some USADA busted fighters and put on shows more often with big names.

Rizin' is fucking awesome. Money's probably from the same people who had a hand in PRIDE back in the day.

I love their events and as far as money I don't think it is a publicly know source

Rumors from good sources is middle eastern investment. With the japanese running it.

I think they could bring back some mistique from Asian MMA

I love Rizin

Pride was funded by the "Yamaguchi-Gumi" Yakuza. They have about 40,000 members and annual revenues of $6.6 billion.

That's an ugly rumor the UFC shills have been throwing around and Sakakibara has publicly denied it. Don't go around throwing rumors around that you don't know anything about.

saki prolly still has boat loads from that money he bamboozled from dana

What sort of tv deal does Rizin have in Japan ?

I don't think Rizin has a traditional TV contract. I know their first event they had some working relationship with Fuji TV and got some money through some government media grant thing of some sort. I'm thinking they more or less work with Fuji for each event and come to terms as they go.

Remember in Japan there is literally 5 big players/channels in the media world. Every other channel is basically a nat in comparison. So there isn't a lot of choices to turn to and hard to play hardball in business deals.
