I get annoyed and sometimes pissed when they turn their blinker on and I wave them over and not a wave of thanks happen.

I'd like to <15> outta them but as I've matured I'm like <mma3>and sometimes <36>.

You guys?

I always let people over if they have the blinker on and I don't expect kindness in return. Kind of like giving something to someone. Don't expect anything in return and you will not be let down.

What I hate more is when you have your blinker on and the douche doesn't let you in the lane. That causes me all sorts of inner rage. We are moving at 10 miles an hour. My exit is.5 miles up. I need to get in, why can't you slow down to let me get to where I need to go.

I appreciate it when they wave. I think they're a dick when they don't. But it's not a big deal.

I'm in the boat of not being pleased when I go out of my way to make room for someone who didn't think ahead in their navigation. Similar to holding a door for someone and they won't even look at ya.

Maybe it's my small town roots, but when someone shows me an act of kindness, you acknowledge it via an expression of gratitude. We shouldn't be so self-consumed that this seems unreasonable....IMHO

Be honest...
This thread was just an excuse to make a post with these new awesome emojis<35>

I always give a thankful wave though. Whether it's them stopping to let me cross the street, switch lanes, etc. It's like muscle memory, don't even need to think about it.

i never wave and i never expect a wave in return. Dont see what the deal is here. If someone needs over, and they use their blinker and dont just cut you off like a dick, then you let them in. I dont view that as me being a saint in need of praise.

The worst is when you wave someone over and then they don't wave and proceed to take forever parallel parking in the only spot that you were gonna take.

Depends, maybe youre the asshole that zings by all the people that got over ahead of time and then wants said people to do him a solid.....further exacerbating the slinky affect that caused everyone to be going 10 mph in the first place .

Every time someone has to apply the brakes in a high traffic scenario has a ripple effect . Late mergers cause the majority of slowdowns at on and off ramps

Don't be an idiot and get in the lane you need to be in a couple of miles sooner.

This is a common occurrence in Hawaii.

I hate when people cut me off, like if you needed in this lane you should have been in it ahead of time, I'm not going to let you cut in front of me because of your shitty decision making. Your time isn't worth more than mine.

The worst is when you're in a turning lane that's backed way up and someone takes the other lane right up to the front and some cunt lets them in.

I like to leave a good cars length between me and the person in front, and there's always that one cunt who'll just flick on his signal light and try and squeeze in. I'll intentionally try and stay beside them closing the gap to keep them out if I see someone trying to do it.

I have no problem with common courtesy. I'll let someone go ahead of me if I'm the one making the choice and it doesn't affect me. I also don't expect someone to do me any favours, so when they do it's a pleasant surprise.

If people followed a zipper merge like they're supposed to you'd see a decrease in slowdowns. People who don't let others merge cause fuck ups as well.

Generally speaking cars don't get so stacked up that someone HAS to let you merge until relatively close to the choke point. Problem is that everyone sees the slow lane and wants zip on by in the center lane until the last minute, there is no " zipper merge" if you've got to slow down in the center and some other guy in the right lane has to stop or remain stopped for you to get in.

You see it play out the same way a thousand times every day. Everybody knows why youre gumming up the works with your last minute plea for mercy merge request, you tried to be Johnny shortcut , its a minor inconsideration of others, but inconsiderate nonetheless .........you can wait.

I would have to slow down to let some idiot in who didn't get in the lane when they should have. That will slow the traffic behind me down and there will be another idiot behind the idiot I just let in that will expect me to let him in.

I stopped caring if others return kindness with gratitude man, I do it simply because thats the person I am regardless of what others are or think

All you're doing is passing it off to the traffic behind you, rather inconsiderate imo.

Let people merge and the problem is lessened.

You've got it twisted. The Dick trying to game the system is the one causing the issue. A lack of planning/ consideration on his part does not necessitate action on mine......why should it?

I guess your post is probably the prevailing thought process driving the average jerk stopped in the center lane and eyeing the right like a puppy dog locked out in the rain. What an entitled mindset, thanks for the insight!
