I tought QT was going to be all over BL nuts at first, I mean Kill Bill vol 1 is basically a love letter to 70s ma films, so I wonder if he actually has hear rumors or something about Lee being a prick to stunt men or something like that and thats why he didnt portrait him as real life Goku.
I just saw it yesterday and though it was good, not great though.
I feel like the ending didn't quite make up for the long lulls at the beginning of the movie. I usually expect a QT movie to be long and start off slow, but I thought there would be better buildup as it went along. It was a funny movie though, at least funnier than most QT movies.
First three quarters were drawn out, all over the place and uninteresting imo. Too much on Ricks acting career, not enough action. I almost fell asleep. The last quarter was amazing.I thought it was pretty good. Brad Pitt’s character was really entertaining to watch. The Bruce Lee scene was silly but fun. Dicaprio’s character working on the western show was great, I really liked his performance as an actor past his glory days. Robbie’s Sharon Tate was nice to watch in the few scenes she was in. Her enjoyment of watching herself on screen was infectious. The scenery was something else. I loved seeing late ‘60’s Hollywood so lovingly recreated. I wouldn’t know if it was accurate, but you can see the time and effort put into it and how confidently Tarantino showed it off.
‘Choppy’ is the best way I can describe the story. It didn’t feel like it had a solid direction it was going. It was really long but still feels like some relevant scenes were cut. In the end it comes together, but not quite. It ended pretty much how I expected it to, with ultra violence and rewriting of history, which was somewhat satisfying. I think it was a waste to have virtually no Manson used in this movie. More about him and his followers could’ve been really interesting and built up the ending more.
Not the greatest movie experience but the acting and scenery were wonderful and you can tell that Tarantino put a lot of love and care into it.
I really liked the scene when Cliff went to the ranch though.First three quarters were drawn out, all over the place and uninteresting imo. Too much on Ricks acting career, not enough action. I almost fell asleep. The last quarter was amazing.
Not sure what to think. We were bored for 80% of the movie though so I think it's his worst film
All the cliff bits were good, the bruce lee scene and the ranch in the first half. They probably should have focused the movie more on him.I really liked the scene when Cliff went to the ranch though.

I can’t stand this broad. I enjoy watching her get bottle gif’d in ‘Hateful 8’, great scene.
To each their own, but I Love this broad. Real-life Bride, real-life badass

I'm Asian and thought it was funnyIt's not about the fact that he lost, but the way he was depicted as a buffoon.

And yes, we know plenty of white men are portrayed this way as well- but that is offset by the fact that most white roles are also positively portrayed protagonists. When there are only a handful of revered Asian stars in the West and you go out of your way to mock him for the sake of cheap laughs really is a dick move.
They showed Manson for like 5 sec ,he was played by Dewey Crowe from justifiedI thought it was pretty good. Brad Pitt’s character was really entertaining to watch. Yea actually preferred Pitts character to Leo in this film which is rare for meAll the cliff bits were good, the bruce lee scene and the ranch in the first half. They probably should have focused the movie more on him.
Just the long cowboy acting sequences really made me struggle to stay interested
