I get it. I don't think it will be the country of Qatar that does that though given that we agreed to guarantee security for their entire nation once we built a base in their country. They have absolutely nothing to worry about from anyone else. I think the concern would be an individual one....maybe one of the pilots decides to do something if there is a concern.

This whole thing was started long ago cuffs and 170 pilots were supposed to arrive last year. The only change is adding facilities and only 150 will arrive. But this was planned through previous administrations as well. Environmental studies completed in 2022 and it was going to happen.
Yeah but then you get into the whole Muslim pilot discussion. Should the US have Muslims in their military and should there be Muslim Pilots. I'm sure being a foreign entity they will be monitored. There are definitely bigger issues at hand. I think that is was made a big story. It could be shelved but Qatar is paying for everything and using local construction companies etc. So its costing us nothing and puts people and companies to work. Also noone should ridicule you... Theres always some risk. Like letting in refugees from Syria or any of the others. There is always a chance that some may be hostile and plan bad things when they arrive. Again, so far we have operated with their military seamlessly for many many years and no incidents. Its a discussion to have for sure but dont know how you operate with zero risk.

So, a self-inflicted wound to our farmers by Trump will result in our taxpayer money being used to bail out the farmers. Again, just like the last time.
