Q & A wit RR....

Seano having a poor attitude? He's known as having one of the more glowing, happy personalities here in the forum, he's almost never grumpy. It's especially impressive considering all the messed up things he saw during his combat tours in ww2.
rumor is he still has nightmares of his service in the Spanish-American war, explains why he doesn't like Lara and Pac

oh this is getting good

Good to see ya again AOM.

Depends on how long you will sit on my lap

the lap is a comforting position for the vulnerable, it nurtures enough that you can then begin the constructive process of making someone whole again. Do you like to comfort people Mr RR?

good God you are stupid...go play in the Mayberry you drunk :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:...

Settle down Mr Omega, lets have fun and maintain our manners, people without manners never had proper potty training. There are always those willing to teach you to do it the right way, life is all about living and learning.

I've always been one to believe that fighters really don't have the final say in who they fight and when it goes down. I've brought this up in past boxing threads and people would vehemently respond "Bullshit! It's ultimately up to the fighter rabble rabble rabble", as if they've ever managed a fighter or been behind those scenes themselves. That just doesn't seem likely to me.

It's also why I don't knock the fighter themselves (ala Canelo v. GGG) when it seems like one is "ducking" the other, because I know it's likely the team making all the real decisions in the background.

How correct am I in my speculation? @RR

I like it but it does depend on the fighter.

RR,

A few questions:

1. How do you know when a fighter's career is over? (clues, habits, behaviours?)

2. Which fighter do you think got the farthest with the least natural-born talent in recent years?

3. How much was ring rust an issue for Ward against Barrera? How much was going up a weight class an issue?

4. Advice for fighters trying to find their "style"?

5. Your thoughts on same day weigh-in and if that is a viable option.

1. You can see it in sparring really quick. Their reflexes are gone. Even when a guy is only a half second slower it is really obvious. They tend not to pull the trigger on punches they would normally throw also. Work ethic normally declines too

2. Juan Diaz

3. Weight was not an issue but ring rust definitely was. It doesn't matter who you are you can't be that inactive and be sharp. Ward needs to fight twice a year and get quality sparring. Remains to be see if he does (I have my doubts like everyone else)

4. Need to get with a good trainer you are comfortable worth first and foremost who will give you personal attention on a daily basis. They will be able to guide you in the right direction stylistically.

5. No chance it will ever happen and I don't like it. You would see some in ring deaths imo

@RR what's the most cash you've ever made on a fight and what fight was it.

Also being a fellow degen I have a couple fighters who I like solely b/c I've made some nice money betting on them several times in the past, do you have any fighters you like not b/c you're a fan but just b/c they've made you money in the past?

15k on BHop/Pavlik

I like him too @Seano (gotta tag him in anything BHop related) but that guy has made me a ridiculous amount of money over the years. I have actually joked with him about it many times and he loves every second of it.
