Q&A on Thailand

If I go to Thailand for 6 months is it better to stay at one gym or to move around to a few different gyms to get different perspectives?

I think it depends where you are in your training. If you are relatively new (less than a few years), you're probably better off sticking with one gym and just training as much as you can. If you're an experienced fighter, then you might gain more from working with a broader range of trainers.

i got a first class ass whipping in samut prakhan last night.
3 on 1 sucks, least i was out to it through most of the fight.
was invited to a lady friends house where i was jumped by her ex boyfriend and his friends.
she set it up.
my nose is pointed at an odd angle now,was overall fun until i hit the ground.
jelousys a bitch.

'She set it up'. Lol..how old is she? And how fun is it to do this to a 33 year old full grown man?

And while we are at it, is it like in the dramas, where her ex bfs came while you both were halfway or finished on the bed?

make sure you pinch it hard first thing and put it back in place, dont want to end up looking like dzabar askerov

Is it still Malik that is running their grappling program?

Anybody know if Thai people are still wearing those giant buddha pendants-usually made of jade? Those things sometimes reached Flavor Flav levels of ostentatious...

Yep Malik is full time there at Legacy, guy is a beast too and has one sick flying triangle

and yeah the thai buddah bling is around more than ever. now all the old farang that want to be thai goodfellas are wearing them too

it's ok my nose has been broke 7 times.
and they caught me on a dark soi next to her apartment.
they were just weighting in the shadows.
my nose already looked like its been hit by a bus.
would have been nice to have eyes in the back of my head as the first blow rattled me good.
i'm looking forward to starting round 2,i love this shit.

I've seen them looking like that and some do sell their asses and mouths but they usually tell you, "I ladyboy, I ladyboy". Don't worry about them though. Just stick to the drunk foreign chicks and you will not have a problem and it will only cost you some alcohol and lame dancing.

That's my plan. I hear there's more than enough drunk Euro and Aussie chicks.

Don't get chopped up by a machete, bro!
Anyway, where would you say is the best place to train in Koh Samui?

haha for real, based on some of the other stories payak has told, thats the first thing that ran through my head, but im sure he knows what hes doing

and whats round two, ass kicking, or another ass waxing :)

I hope to go to Thailand within the next year or so, but my current job will only allow for 2 weeks to a month, so it will probably be more like an enjoyable training vacation resort than a serious training camp. I hear fairtex bangplee is a pretty nice short-term training facility.

If i had 3 months or more to go to Thailand, i'd want to visit Sasiprapa, Sor Vorapin, Kaewsamrit, Kiatphontip, Patong thai boxing gym and several others. I swear all i'd do is eat, sleep and train, and fight (with occasional journeys into the night life). I'm not giving up hope yet, i'm still young(20) and i see myself taking an extended stay in Thailand before i turn 24.

I'll be the next Antuan Siangboxing or Chris Forster!....just kidding of course.

Just got back from thailand
1100 baht for 16oz twins(ended up getting 2) and 700 for bag mitts , then they gave me a 5 percent discount!!

gotta love thailand!

Not with only a two week holiday.

All jokes aside, you are still very young. Just save some money and go.
