kiss your money goodbye, thais says lend me money he really means give me.
still you may get it back.
its custom to give your trainer 3000bht when you leave,just dont give it to him.
you should look after your trainer when your with him anyway,pay for his drinks and meals when your out.
you dont have to but it is the way to treat your less fortunate trainer.
 
ah crap lol lesson learned

well I guess if I dont get my money back, I won't owe him anything when I leave ;)
 
Keatkhamtorn fired a trainer because he kept borrowing money from the international fighters and sometimes not paying it back... I guess it's a widespread problem
 
good for the people who plans to go to Thailand to know this then... and I thought MT trainers were trustworthy. I'll let you guys know if I ever get my money back lol

Rubbhish. in 90 per cent of public places you do not have to squat, unless you are at a Thai traditional MT camp in some village.

Andfood wise certain people cannot stomach the Thai herbs, so you may find them yucky instead of delicious.

Say in usa, the steak may be added with just 1 seasoning, pepper. Or fries with chilli sauce. But typically, 1 Thai Dish iscooked with 4-5 funny herbs.

Just because you visited Thailand that doesn't make you truly understanding of Thai culture. Just because you had some conversations with Thai people that doesn't mean you're "in the know." You're still just an outsider looking in. What's with all these people trying to tell me about my own country?

I have been in thailand for yeara and counting. Tell me how II personally know of attractive thai middle class thais dating/married to amaricans/japanese/singaporeans/australians if your statement below is true?
" Attractive/ average Thai girls date Thai guys. REALLY POOR VILLAGE Thai girls earn money by being with Whites. 90% of the time those girls are considered unattractive and not the "spec" of Thai men."
 
Madevilz are you talking about Scorpion Muay Thai in Pattaya? I just got back from Thailand a few days ago and there trainer did the same thing. Ripped me off for 3000 baht, said he took money from his wife.

I was just about to book a month of training there...Since i've been emailing back and forth with Bill from fightpassport.com and he really enjoyed his training there.

Anyhow I guess i'll cancel that one off my list. I'll Stick to 13 coins gym with Saenchai:)

I'm headed to Thailand October 29th of this year. For approx 3-6 months. Maybe longer if all goes well.

Questions about using ATM Machines.

Does anyone know the average fee of using the machines , I heard it is 150 Baht per transaction.

Now say back here in Canada my card has a max withdrawal amount of 500 Canadian dollars per day. When I take out money in Thailand, is there a set max amount on there machines over there? Or will my max daily withdrawal amount apply over there, but in thai Baht?

Maybe i'll catch up with a few of you guys in thailand this fall. I'll be out and around. Patong boxing gym is my first stop. then a friend i've kept in touch with over there has just opened a gym Thanachot Muay Thai - Home. Pipat Kritep was a trainer on contender Asia , and just overall a great guy to be around and a great technical trainer. His gym has just opened in phuket. Very low key. Quite traditional. Not too many foreigners. Then finally I may spend a month at Dragon muay thai with Kru Yod, and finish off my trip at 13 coins in bangkok with saenchai and hopefully fight!

Hope to see some of you guys around!

So I guess your visits trumps me being Thai? My bloodline is from Surin and Bangkok. And about my statement earlier, I was explaining to guy about the prostitution game in Thailand. For the types of girls: Whites mainly go for the dark skinned girls and Thais mainly go for the light skinned girls.

But then again what do I know? I'm only a Thai person living in Thailand.

LOL, you're right! But it annoys me to see these fools pass on their bad info about my country. Though, I feel like a geek and a fool for arguing my case on the internet so I guess I'll stop.

every atm i have used so far charges me 150 baht per withdrawn. as far as max amount you can pull at one time, the most i have taken out at one time was 20,000 baht with no issues. oh I'm in phuket btw, not sure if it will differ anywhere else
