You're actually better off with a 2 prong, as many Thai outlets won't have the ground plug.

Thailand is hot all year around except in the North and North East

Majority of Muay Thai camps are around Bangkok and in the south so it's going to be hot no matter what.

I was just up North near Mae Hong Song and it was quite chilly. I'm in Phuket now and it is the high 80's or low 90's everyday. Some days are very rainy and others are clear and hot.

Im in Pattaya right now, it's hot, but not too hot. I actually thought i'd die of heat (im a guy who sweats a pool while training...) but training at this temperature is very tolerable. Viva rainy season

this thread is extremely helpful to me I'm going to thailand in december 5 yrs year of hard work and saving cash and I finally have the money and free time to the Muay thai mecca. I guess after thailand my next dream destination is nova uniao jiu jitsu team in brazil.

that sucks the hottest long beach gets is 80 degrees and I'm a really pale Mexican(I'm only mention being Mexican because most Mexicans have good tolerance toward heat like my dad) who burn easy in the sun,I wanna learn a lot of clinch stuff that the weakest part of my game.

edit: or MExican toilets where you have to pour a 5 gallon bucket on the toilet so it flushes.

I'll start. What's the average airline ticket (round trip) to Thailand? What time of the year is the cheapest way to fly?

my ticket was like 1200 with out hotel or food and I ordered it like 5 months in advance.

I red a lot about the women in thailand but
I'm going strictly for training this is the most serious thing in my life, I get girls here in the U.S and by the truck load in Mexico(due to my light complexion and hazel eyes,=)). , I'm gonna try to learn as much as I can I gonna train for 14 days straight(I was gonna go 21 days but seeing as this is my first trip I'll go for 3 weeks in march for my second trip).

Has anyone ever trained at Por Purmak? I'm flying into Bangkok June 26th and staying till July 26th. Thinking of checking out 3 gyms while i'm there. I'm thinking about checking out one place in Pattaya, one in Bangkok and then Por Purmak(hopefully Buakaw will be training while i'm there). Thanks, thinking about Scorpion in Pattaya and haven't decided on which gym in Bangkok yet......
Any idea on how far it would take to get to Buakaw's gym from Bangkok?

if I saw buakaw in person,I would drop to my knees and claim a "no Romo" for the following actions I will do:icon_chee.

I think Im gonna go with sinbi because they offer westrn style toilets and that is a pretty important thing for me lol,I been stung in the but by scorpions using mexican toilets so I don't wanna take chances in thailand.
