Accomodation -- If you pay more than 1,000 baht a day, you're paying too much.

Moped -- 100-200 baht a day

Heh, go to to Chiang mai. I was there 6 months at Chai Yai gym.

Think it was 6000 baht a month for training.
Apartment 20 meters from the gym for 2000 a month,
the rest more or less the same.

well guys, ill be in Thailand in less than a week. problem is I went for a run today and got the worst lateral knee pain of my life, which makes me think running long distances before training is out for me. now im gonna feel like a huge schmuck when I show up at camp not being able to run. im in good shape, i spent the last few months doing rosstraining type workouts, but never really ran much other than sprints just because it was so damn boring to me and i felt like i was getting in better shape doing gpp drills. i figured the drills would carry over to running just fine, and they did, running wasn't tiring at all, but i underestimated its impact on my joints. guess ill just have to get use to skipping an extra 20 minutes, although doing that on concrete doesn't feel great on my joints either. man i hope dumb fuck nagging injuries like this don't spoil my trip.

man i bought my ticket for october and a recently got the knee bar from hell... im out for at least a month of rolling jiu jitsu i dont know how long it will be untill i can take leg kicks. if i were you i would get in contact with a physical therapist, even if you cant make alot of visits they can give you home exercises that will speed your recovery!
 
dang, I just realised that Ive been training with Changpeuk for the past week... thought he was just some homeless dude when I first saw him at my gym lol!
 
Another question guys, i'm hearing alot of bad things about how dangerous the night life and redlight districts are etc. I must admit that i'm horny alot of the time and i wouldn't mind taking part in whatever debauchery they have going on in Thailand.

I wanna do my business and purchase sex or whatever, but i don't want to get involved in any of these girl's lives. I don't wanna be played for a sucker, or tricked into listening to whatever random girl's sob stories about her sick father or something. I wanna be a smart guy when it comes to this sex tourism thing.

Main thing is, i don't want to get involved, i don't want some crazy woman calling and texting me all the time or coming to where i live, at all. It's way too much...Maybe i'm just hearing all the bad stories, i am sure that there are alot of girls that are completely professional about the "transactions". I don't wanna be sucked in...i just wanna be sucked.

Now i come from a 3rd world country with alot of similarities in the sex trade, and from what i gather alot of those girls are very emotionally damaged and will try to suck you for all the money you're worth, or even worse make you fall in love with them if you aren't thinking logically....I'm not saying i'm perfect or that i wont find myself in any of these situations, but i'd like to be a little prepared.

Any tips? Aside from avoiding the whole thing altogether of course....

if you dont want them calling you dont give them your number,just do em then leave.
 
Hahaha -- are you serious, dude? Don't give them your number. That's a surefire way to make sure they don't call you.
 
Do they have other rooms where i can do it besides taking them to my apartment/hotel? Like in the philippines they have these little booths.

some places have rooms you can pay to go boom boom in i think they are like an extra 400 baht. as far as them calling you, dont give them your number. my first time in thailand i got tricked by this girl not knowing she was a bargirl (ya ive been flamed emensley so no need for further punishment, and gave her my number so i could wax that in the future. this girl still wont stop calling me. the bad thing is she really likes me and knows i dont have alot of money, so she doesnt ask for it, she just generally loves me! i know its rediculous. i found one of the few good hearted hookers and it kills me to ignore her, but i cant figure out why she keeps calling me and wasting money while not asking for money in return (wich i was told would happen)
 
she is super cute. you know how those thai girls are... 4'9 petite titties. i feel bad because her parents sent her to work the bar so she could send them money. she doesnt like it and wants to save enough money to open a restaraunt. most deff a keeper
