I think it's called "Anti-Marketing", create a stink within one side of an issue, then have people on the other side saying "Hey, the people we don't like are mad about it... let's buy some to stick it to them!"

Could be a similar thing, "Domino's support this sick display, I for one will not purchase your product anymore!" "Screw you, I'm gonna have Domino's tonight". Similar things have happened with Nike, Keurig, Dr. Seuss, and Potato Head.

I have recently been watching some 80/90s dystopian schlock films and they have newscasters talking about massive heat waves of 100 degree killer weather in the USA in 2020-2040. This planet is fucked and it was foreseen.
