The funny thing is, they seemingly don't get it. It happened with Ghostbusters, it happened with Battlefield V, a shitload of comics. They act like this, people speak up, they then say "Pffft, you're just a [insert appropriate ism/phobe], this isn't for you!" then it tanks, and instead of "Ooooh, DON'T talk down to a huge segment of the potential audience", it's "No, they're racist/sexist/Nazis, they were never going to watch a film with black people/women/whatever we force into it"

To be honest, I don't really give a shit about all that stuff. Ghostbusters sucked because it was queef jokes every 5 minutes and didn't hold up to the original in terms of effective visual effects and story, not because women. They just shot themselves in the foot with the whole sexism thing. If something's good I'll enjoy it.
