All we can do is try to enjoy and make the best or move on but its just pissin in the rain to rage about it

i dont disagree both last season of got and the build to mania could be better but i am a jaded and cynical mother fucker and dont really have high expectations and just deal with it

it really is what it is

Until you and i go into the story telling business and create the stories we want the way we want all we can do is go for someone elses ride

I don't disagree with anything @LuchaBear said about Nak or the build to the WWE title match. The Royal Rumble winner going for the WWE title should be a huge deal and it's just been "meh." Going to a house show a week ago, Nak is still crazy over with the crowd, but they really haven't done dick with him since calling him up. He's an interesting guy, but they clearly have no clue what to do with him and him losing to Jinder damaged his credibility. The Rumble match itself put him over big time, but then nothing happened thereafter. Part of that, I think, is that because of the brand split, there weren't serious guys for him to run through to re-affirm his place because the SD roster is paper thin.

I still think I'll enjoy the match for what it will be (or can be, at least). I'm not as excited for it as I could be had the build been better, but I enjoy a great match, so I think I'll enjoy it. (By way of example, I watch the NXT Takeovers, but not the weekly shows, so I know little to nothing about the storylines going in, but still generally enjoy the shows.)

I also get to watch this stuff with a 6-year-old who absolutely loves it, so that adds to my enjoyment a great deal.

Where's the story? The story for the match is just "hey, this is probably gonna be a really good match". I want more.

How bout the fact that AJ Styles started in damn WCW, worked his way through the indies, spent over a decade eating shit and liking it in the most sub par wrestling organization we've ever seen. It took him 20 years to get to the top of the mountain and now he's finally here. His whole life has built to this moment of being the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania. Will he rise to the occasion like he's seen in his dreams a thousand times or will the pressure of the moment crack the fighting champion?

This is a forum where we discuss pro wrestling and the decision making we see each week. I'm not doing anything wrong but discussing exactly that.

I know they won't be main event but if they built that story and he successfully defended the title and Wrestlemania ends with AJ Styles celebrating with the belt it would be a powerful image to the likes of the Boyhood Dream or "The Austin Era has begun".
