80's wrestling really was a whole different "sport". 70's even more so.

For 80s wcw I prefer the syndicated programs in pro/worldwide to Saturday night as it's shorter (45 mins) and is in arenas showcasing the red hot nwa crowds. Compared to the studio Saturday which feels sterile and dull, uswa/cwa (memphis) is the only promotion that made the studio work. For the no.2 promotion to have its pre nitro flagship show in a studio looks bad compared to the superstars/challenge tapings of wwe in sell out arenas.
