I'm going to preface this by saying that I have always liked KO and Sami Zayn. Kevin is one unalterable factor away from being an all-time great. But he's both small/average and fat. It is what it is. He has a great motor and moves set for his build. Connects with fans and great heel mic work. But its hard to suspend disbelief as he's slapping the Samoan Thor in the head and taunting him about being "The Guy" as he lays on the ground for a minute selling a simple clothesline. Nobody looks strong. Reminds me of Al Snow's story about Tony Atlas being kicked out of a territory for putting on a 20min 4-star match with a manlet.

Sami especially impresses me with his talk considering he spent a decade with a one-word vocabulary. He's also found the gym that Kevin forgot how to get to. He looks like an athlete/fighter instead of an acne-back string bean that he used to.

AJ is believable because he's spectacularly athletic and they let him be. He's small but vicious... but he really should have big nasty backup to protect him. He also MUST stay on Smackdown if they're going to keep up the cruiserweights. Why would we care about the CW title if the real champ is the same size?

I really do like that Luke Harper is getting noticed. I don't know what they might have for him as the best progression is to rebel against Bray/Randy but don't know where to go from there. Hired gun, maybe but I think that might be better for Baron Corbin for a while.

Rusev should be Raw's version of Attitude Era Kane: A brutal consequence for those who defy the Authority and loyal to them in exchange for promoting Lana's interests.



This may be the issue. Just found out he was a writer there now and I think he might be in a nostalgia trap. Kevin Owens would be a great IC/US/Tag heel but he wasn't even "The Guy" in RoH.



I think you're right but he needs an unpopular authority/control to rage against. And, if he's going to be "the lunatic fringe," he's going to have to high spot bigger and more often. Not Jeff Hardy shit. But some stuff that let's the crowd know he's got a "I'll hurt me to hurt you" streak would be best.

Corbin should be the diesel to Aj's hbk. Gives aj the big man backup and puts corbin hire up on the card. i agree with you on the owens thing he was never the guy in ring of honor. He's at best a top level mid card guy that is his ceiling.

The weird thing is, I'm a huge Owens fan but I think the US or IC title would get more from him and do more for him. Someday, he'll be a great manager or commentator and breaking out the old cannonball in the corner will get huge pop from the crowd then.

I thought Corbin could go around beating on faces for Miz or Steph or whoever until a pipsqueak face like Ellsworth hires him to keep the matches clean. But they already did that with Rhino taking pity on Heather recently. I say you're right and, eventually, he'll get superkicked one too many times and it's on.
 
KO has more charisma and presence then nearly anyone on the roster. That's why he's on top. His title run has been overshadowed by the Y2J-assiance but let us not forget that leading up that he has consistently been the most entertaining part of the show since his feud with Cena. KO is where he belongs and was he not champion in ROH for nearly a year?

yep corbin fits the body guard role to a T just like nash did back in the day and just like nash he'll get super kicked on too many times and give Aj deep six through a table.

Finally saw Rogue One.....Movie was great, probably one of the best Star Wars movies.

I don't know if it's because it's fresh in my mind, but it took over Civil war as my favourite movie of the year.

Anyone who says Rogue one sucked is a lying asshole.
