Hmmm... not crazy about the idea of jobbing Brock to a 50 year old dude in 90 seconds. They can fix this but I have little faith in WWE doing that. (Seriously can we skip forward a few months and get to the part where we all look back and say this was nonsensical, because that's what is likely to happen.)
Also, I always get a chuckle out of the WWE apologists here who can't handle any criticism of WWE. Three arguments I have already seen:
1 - It's 9.99!
And?? So what Just because WWE have devalued their shows, doesn't mean we should expect an inferior show.
2 - The story was that Brock underestimated Goldberg!
Funny how I am only hearing that now, almost as if it were an excuse to explain away a finish that didn't add up or something... I distinctly recall Goldberg's return promo talking about how he was an old man with "maybe one last Jackhammer in him."
3 - Aw c'mon guys! It's just wrestling!
Yeah, I am gonna hold WWE to the standards that they themselves say they want to be held to. "We're not wrestling! We're just like any other scripted show!!!" OK then, your storytelling is sub par at best, embarassing and pathetic at worst.
