The ECW roundtable was a good watch, being an ECW fan after it closed and watching bit and pieces from various DVD releases along time ago (early 00s) to now watching the full tv/ppv from the network,
For ECW to reach PPV & Spike TV (TNN) in a short amount of time is amazing to go from a small regional profile based in Philly to extend there reach to areas of Chicago, California, NY and draw good crowds relative to there size.
Sure there were never going to compete with WCW/WWE at the time but it would of been a great alternative to those disillusioned with the other promotions at the time. A healthy alternative benefits everyone the fans and the talent as they have somewhere else to ply there trade then WWE.
From what I seen from 95 in WCW/WWE was terrible, Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart easily had the most watchable matches throughout that time eg Shawn/Jarrett IYH, Hart/Bulldog IYH, Hart/Diesel Survivor Series, etc.
