Is Mickey Gall the Bart Gunn of the UFC?

Too bad none of his Strange Edge Society members ran in to make the save.

The one thing I didn't expect is I'd feel a little bad for CM Punk.

EVERYBODY won last night except him. Dana White legitimazed the elite level that is the UFC, you know damn well Trips told Steph to break out a bottle of Möet, but Phil is realizing that despite losing, this was not a "cool experience" to tell. He got embarrased, to the point where he can't even use the "well at least I got in the cage" argument, because he trained full time for two years and he didn't even throw a single punch.

Steph and Trips aren't children.

Props to Mickey Gall. Dude is a stud. And he is very smart to call out Sage Northcutt. I wish him well in his future endeavours.

Regarding CM Punk, he did get in the cage and fight even though others said he never would. It looks like he left it way too late in life to try this. Joe hit the nail on the head when he said "This is what happens when a white belt gets in there with a high level brown belt."

Fuck all this noise about respect to CM Punk for having the balls and taking a risk. Guy never had any business being in there, it was a circus act at what is supposed to be a legitimate sport and an easy paycheck for Punk.

Wow, CM Punk is tainted in my eyes now he'll never be able to go back to WWE now.

I agree with that personally, though different people will have different levels of respect for things. I can't fault them for that. All it takes (imo) is a misguided person motivated by enough money.

Punk got out of WWE at the right time. He can't claim to be the best in the world anymore. He knew that when he saw Daniel Bryan taking his spot. Now the roster is full of guys who are better wrestlers than him.

UFC being a legitimate sport. <36>

UFC has and never will be a legitimate sport. It has and always will be entertainment first and foremost, there's a reason it gets compared to the WWE and not NFL, soccer, etc.

Enjoy it for what it is.

I agree that it's not for reasons like this and other shit Dana pulls but they're trying to legitimize themselves and become that big. Crap like this is for short term gains but it makes them look bad.

I'd like to say that I'm a MMA purist or whatever, but I've come to the conclusion that I tune into the freak show fights just like everybody else and I always will.

I think Rogan was saying that it looks like a white belt with a brown belt in reference to the BJJ dominance being shown. You don't see that sort of dominance in BJJ normally. Don't think Rogan was calling Punk a white belt.

I'm still laughing at Dana thinking that the song wasn't bro enough.
