you can say that about any top star ever: Austin, Michaels, Bret, Hogan, Flair, Warrior, etc.

I think you'll find it rare that you find someone absolutely content with their salary.

there's no secret AJ isn't friends w/ the Divas - aka Bellas, Rosa, probably Fox. She has said so in a lot of her interviews.

If you watch that total divas show, yes it's a bit scripted at points, but you'll see how legit petty all of them are. I don't think it's some big slight to be disliked by that crew. Divas going back the Melina years have always had a toxic locker room.

I can't disagree with this. And while the Bellas has a history for lobbying against other Divas, when you have a full lockerrom hating on you, something's up.

They didn't do it publicly, there wasn't this victim complex where they made it sound like they were specifically fucked with. That's the difference. It's one thing to go up to Vince backstage and say "Look, I'm not happy with this shit, I want some stuff to change" and doing podcasts and radio interviews and putting out tweets when you're getting more than everybody, but you still want more.

That's what contract negotiations are for, some of the shit guys have gotten by just asking, you'd be amazed:

JBL got 5-star hotels paid for
HHH got 10 uses of the corporate jet for personal travel
Kane got 1st Class Travel paid for
Trish Stratus got 1st Class Travel, 5-Star hotels and an extra 15% on merchandise.

If AJ said "Hey, I want an extra 15% on my merch sales", they'd have negotiated with her.

and looking into it a bit further, before AJ came back to wrestle at Mania, she was coming off of a neck injury, probably would explain the lack of bumps and subsequent retirement and bitterness.

I'm not saying she was professional. She was clearly unprofessional in how she handled it any objective stance. I don't think she was justified, just saying I don't think she's the piece of shit you make her out to be and the basis for your opinion seems a bit flawed to me in these talks. I appreciate not supporting her because she lacked passion or whatever, but the rest of it seems petty and vitriolic, probably an extension of your hate for punk.

But all you have to do is listen to the old timers talk about contract negotiations and it always comes down to money. That includes no shows, refusing to job, verbal fights back stage. Flair leaving with NWA title. it's the wrestling business. the wrestlers will bitch about money until the end of time, star or not.

Well, yes and no. The merch thing was obviously whining, but when it came down to bitching about the supermodels getting the spotlight over the hard workers, she had a point. Notice how she never had negative things to say about the perceived "wrestlers" on the divas roster? I think that's what most of her complaints boiled down to. That the talentless pretty faces, were getting more shine than the women busting their asses to be wrestlers. Punk had the same issue with the company, and on that particular issue, I don't think they were wrong to speak out. Unlike most of the roster, who pretend to love everything the company does, because they're terrified of the consequences.

it's not really about them per se. I just see it so much in these threads, where it's some story an old timer tells, an irrational one based on hearsay, a bunch of bitterness and people take it as gospel. all these people are delusional, self-absorbed con men/women. I wouldn't take much stock in it. If you watch these shoots, they all conflict. I get more annoyed that people perpetuate this bullshit rather than anything to do with the wrestlers themselves.
