Back from intermission!

LWO (Wilde and Cruz) vs OTM - I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this match, especially by how well OTM worked the crowd. All match long Lucian Price was engaging with the fans (at one point they had got taken out of the ring and he looked over at these kids rubbing his jaw and goes, "that kinda hurt"), and Bronco Nima was shit talking both members of the LWO and the crowd. Wilde and Cruz looked good but kept it a little more lowkey than usual with the dives. OTM won with their finisher that kinda sucks.

Next up was Ethan Page vs Shiloh Hill - The greatest North American ever vs Cameron Grimes at home (seriously, dudes catch phrase it Toothless Aggression). Page absolutely COOKED Green Bay before the match. Said he was only here because he had nothing else to do, and then said the only champion worth a mention Green Bay ever had was Hornswoggle and we were so pathetic that we had to admire half a man. Just fucking cold. Also said he had to get Hornswoggles kid a ticket because he sucked as a dad. Page seriously made this match good because of his antics. Early in the match somebody yelled something at him and his response - "Don't care, still winning" and proceeded to ram Shiloh's head into his boot on the turnbuckle. Page won with Twisted Grin after kicking Hill in the nuts while the ref was being moved out of the way so he didn't get hit.

Sidebar: We were fucking with the refs ALL night long (ok, mainly me), especially when they would be telling the women to do something (Off the hair, get inside the ring, etc etc). It was always "Don't talk to her like that", "You're really bossy", "Leave her alone", etc. etc. Fun times.

Next up the co-main event. Triple threat. Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame, and Thea Hale vs Fatal Influence. This was also tied with the main event for match of the night. Ring work wasn't the best, but all 6 ladies were on point with the various antics and working with the crowd. Fallon was MVP though. Right from the walk out she was messing with these two kids in front of me and off to the side a bit - From doing the "I've got my eyes on you" gesture and glaring at them to talking trash... Those two kids also probably reached puberty right there since her ass was in our faces anytime she was on the apron. Just before doing her swing around the ring post kick on the outside she stared singing/humming the merry-go-round tune. She just gets it.

Ending came with Tatum hitting her finisher on Fallon with an assist from Izzi. After the match Tatum was about to take a picture with a dude in front of me, but Izzi grabbed her and pulled her away just as he was about to take the pic (dude had a Tatum sign) so Tatum BOLTED all the way around the ring as Izzi gave chase and got to the dude so he could take a picture before Izzi got there. Just a really fun moment that you wouldn't see during a TV taping or big event.

Main event time - Ricky Saints vs JD McDonough vs Je'Von Evans vs Grayson Waller. JD and Grayson were pleasant surprises. Je'Von got things started with a video package talking about the Cena tournament, and him and Slater going after the tag titles on Tuesday, and finishing by saying it starts tonight with winning the NXT title. (This kid is going to be a star. After the match he took TONS of time to take pictures with fans around the ring and giving high fives and etc (even to me).

JD came out next. Dude really does have a comically big head compared to his body, but damn can he put on a show.

Waller was next. Dude is a heat magnet. Wearing an Eagles jersey helped, but he was getting boo's all night (except by me - I think he's awesome).

Ricky out last. Least imposing dude in the ring. Which was fine since he spent 90% of it on the outside (usually in front of my section, which allowed someone who looks a lot like me just fucking hammer him with shit talking "Hey Ricky, you going to do anything this match?", "Yo Ricky, you need a nap bro?" "Good job Ricky, you landed one move, which is one more than me").

Match was fun. Started out with the old "let's team up" against the good guys, but JD was having none of it so Waller bailed. When JD went to leave the ring too Ricky and Evans double teamed him, and then Waller when he tried to sneak attack them. Funny moment, Waller was outside the ring and said he was looking for all the good-looking women in Wisconsin and I told him they were all hiding from him.

Every time Saints would try and get back in the ring somebody would knock him off the apron. It was a pretty fun running spot.

Waller had a fun spot where JD was hung upside down in the corner and he went to the opposite one and yelled out "coast to coast", only to jump down about halfway there and then walk over and stand on JD's nuts. Waller is a great heel.

Ending came with JD hitting the Spanish Fly on Ricky, then catching an amazing springboard cutter from Je'Von, who got taken out by the rolling flatliner from Waller, who ate a "spear" from Saints followed up with a Roshambo for the win.

After the match Saints got on the mic and did the whole thank you thing. He also "tried" to get the crowd to acknowledge Waller, who we of course booed - did it like 4 times. Saints just doesn't feel like a natural face and the whole thanking the crowd felt forced. Je'Von was much more sincere and came off more naturally. He did manage to get Saints to do the worm (evidently the night before Otis was on the show and everyone did it except Saints).

NXT really did a good job with having the majority of the top people on the card and some cool surprises too. 9 matches and an intermission in 3 hours is a very well run show. All the matches felt like they were given plenty of time to breath. No run ins, no pyro, and no Booker T.

I love how house shows let the wrestlers have some fun and really interact with the crowd. So glad they came back to my neck of the woods and will 100% go again if they come back around.

10/10 fun night.

Well damn, the mall out here that was the mall used in Bill and Ted is done getting demolished. That mall was still dope when I first started coming around Phoenix 20 years ago, in the few years leading to it closing it became a pretty bad hood mall though :(

A couple years ago the Circle K from the movie closed down and now this.

Was it the Mexicans, Beeg? Sick of those brown savages!

John Wick is one of my favorite movie franchises of all time and that's a shoot.

John Wick 4 is a dang cinematic masterpiece!

Those movies are great. Tons of occult symbolism in them too like most of Keanu's movies but you can just enjoy them as a cool ass Gun Fu franchise if that suits your fancy. Been thinking about giving them another viewing. I really liked 4 a lot.

I finally watched Ballerina a couple weeks ago, it made me want to go back and rewatch them all again. I'm gonna have to do that soon.

I still need to check that out. Maybe tonight! The night is young!

It's pretty good for a fun action flick. Ana de Armas is always nice to look at as well!

Yeah im not expecting much. As long as they do some neat things and connect it to the John Wick universe I'll be entertained.
