Wrestlespective usually drops their shows on Sunday at noon but in honor of the Dream, he moved up this week's show to the iconic Saturday night at 6:05 pm time slot

@My Spot

I've seen people giving Matt Cardona shit online for appearing as Zack Ryder in the Cena tournament, saying he betrayed his ideals and what not.

Motherfuckers, this is the Cena tournament. Cena has history with Zack Ryder, he ain't had nothing to do with Matt Cardona.

What are his ideals?

I bought a ticket to see him in Sacramento when he was NWA Champion(Bucket list for me to see an NWA title match) but he got injured and didnt make the town so I refunded my tickets and didnt go

Alwayz Ready, indeed...

Today is the one day a year we have to celebrate Vincent James Russo.

Before I get into the show itself, I want to properly contextualize Survivor Series ’98 as a true anomaly in pro wrestling history. Never before and presumably never again will there by a WWE pay-per-view that remains popularly beloved for over two decades despite featuring zero good wrestling matches. It’s WWE’s platonic ideal of a show; an event where the wrestling is just a means to an end to “tell a story,” and even die-hard, workrate-obsessed wrestling fans go along for the ride. YES, TELL US THE STORY, WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT, WE’RE HERE FOR IT.

@Sycho Sid I just rage deleted Ratchet & Clank cause I accidentally finished the Nefarious City level before I collected the spybot from the factory and it wouldnt let me go back and grab it

I hate you, PS5!

What kind of star ratings did you give the matches?
House show/10.

Nobody went super crazy with any spots but all the matches were really pretty solid to really good. 3 hours including a small break in the middle (like the good old days) and everything just moved along really well.

Opening Match - Chase U vs Los Americanos. Both teams were pretty over, with Los Americanos being cheered throughout (that was a theme for the evening - even the heels were over). Fun match with both teams getting in plenty of tag team moves. Uriah Conners played the face in peril pretty well. Heel team won with the metal in the mask gimmick. Probably could have been a couple minutes shorter.

I don't see Conners making any kind of impact in WWE, and Kale Dixon has an ok look but I don't see anything more than mid card at best. As a tag team I think they could actually work well in AEW.

2nd match Grace vs Lyra - Seeing Los Americanos was a bit of a surprise, but seeing Lyra was a complete shocker. Especially going against Jordynne. Both ladies wrestled as faces here, and no real heel leanings by either one. Crowd was 50/50 for support, and really were just cheering both women. Lyra won a pretty fun match.

Jordynne puzzles me. She's supposed to be this power wrestler but then can struggle with lifting Lyra... just odd. There is no way she should beat Kelani for the Knockouts Title. Her NXT run has been pretty bad, and I think she should be called up and either sink or swim.

Up next was Oba (also a surprise) vs Myles Borne. These guys work well together and put on a good match. Oba dominated but Myles had quite a few moments of offense. At one point he mocked the rulers strut - not a healthy choice. End came on a massive power bomb. Wasn't going to get any shirts last night, but of course caved and got the Oba Femi Ruler of NXT one because I doubt he is staying there much longer.

4th match was my biggest surprise - ZaRuca vs Blake Monroe & Zena Sterling (who just won the recent LFG season). I was shocked that Sol was there. I fully expected them to hold her out until Tuesday's show. Blake being there was a big surprise also. I wasn't expecting her to do small towns. Blake started by cutting a promo on Green Bay and said she was auditioning minions for her, which is where Zena comes in. Sterling is a former bodybuilder and gymnast according to Blake, but wiki says she just did swimming. Either way she looked decent in the ring and did look like she could be Blake's sister.

Zaria is pretty good looking in person, but really short. Sol is Sol.

There was some really good ring psychology on part of the heels by working on Sol's knee. Blake's work outside the ring whether they were in control or not was fun to watch. She gets it. Sol didn't do any crazy stuff, probably to avoid re-injuring her knee. Ending came with a spear and Zaria's finisher on Zena.

After the match Blake grabbed a mic and said Zena didn't make the cut and wished Sol good luck on Tuesday and to "Break a leg". Good stuff by her.

During the match some fucking neckbeard kept yelling at Blake that she was ugly and shit. It wasn't even in a mocking the heel kind of way.

Last major surprise of the night - Sheamus vs Trick. Sheamus on an NXT house card was never going to be on my bingo card. Trick came out and ran down the Packers (he played on the Eagles). Sheamus said how great it was to be here and that he was going to "Whoop that Trick".

Match was good but had a few issues. Sheamus was fucking GASSED by about 4-5 minutes in. He could barely do the skin the cat move in the corner, and then wasn't able to help Trick at all on a Rock Bottom so it was a total botch. Had some outside the ring brawling right in front of me. Sheamus won with the Brough Kick. After the match he got on the mic and said nothing of consequence but did a ton of pics with fans, and even went to the back of the crowd to take some more pics.

Then we got a brief intermission!

I remember that was just about the only time I was ever a fan of The Rock (as a babyface at least), and they pull a repeat of the Bret/Shawn screwjob finish?

To this day, I have never dared love again.
