LoL I never knew Hacksaw Duggan did a pro Canada gimmick

For an absolute shoot, Rex, I was just watching this scene last night! It pops me every single time.

Smart Tech also clearly being a Circuit City is crazy nostalgia too. I can still smell it!

I used to work at a Circuit City while in college. CC definitely had it's own atmosphere.

In the dying days of WCW Lance Storm led a group called Team Canada full of Americans that defected like Hacksaw, Mike Awesome, Elix Skipper, and Major Gunns

Lance even put a Canadian flag sticker over the United States Championship and called it the Canadian Championship. It was pure HEAT.

Best Buy was my favorite, I used to go there every week just to buy stuff cause I was bored, we had a Circuit City right there in the same strip mall but it wasnt jumping like the Best Buy was, it was more quiet and serious and very bright lights, Best Buy had early 2000's hip hop and pop music bumping and a nice party vibe with dark lighting and neon effects, made it feel like a party LoL

Holy shit, Hacksaw without a beard is not best for business

100%. Circuit City was always like a Radio shack on steroids. It was more for your serious tech guys.

Lance Storm is the only person in WCW history to hold three titles at the same time!

And that's from Calgary... Alberta.. Canada.

WCW US title became the Canadian Heavyweight Championship
Cruiserweight title became the 100 kg and Under Championship
Hardcore title became the Saskatchewan Hardcore International Title (S.H.I.T.)

<suzylol>

Was it commission-based like Smart Tech?

Certain items were, but not all.. Everything was overpriced though.

I did score an X-Box 360 when they just came out from there. Then I gave it to my brother, who lived a few states away, because I was basically couch surfing while I was in college and never hooked it up myself.

Cast of characters working there.. Working the floor was ass but working the stock room and in the back was fun.

It holds a special place for me cause the first DVDs I ever bought were at Circuit City. I tried so hard to talk Mama Roll into letting me get T2 but she just said no!

I can still see that silver case

Did she feel it was too violent?

Or was she just not a fan of the classics!

Yeah a little too violent for my young mind in her eyes. Sad! I do think that was on of the last times that happened though. It wouldn't be but just a few months later I was jamming on that GTAIII! Once you hear gun shots, police sirens and "fucking bitch!" echoing from your son's room, I guess the parental protections are over
