PWD PWD 1222: Still in Mourning

It says “exclusive domestic home of all WWE PLEs” so I can only assume and hope that PLEs outside of the US are still on Netflix.
Yeah, I keep forgetting it's a little different in America. Aren't the PLE's being streamed through Netflix in partnership with Peacock or some shit?

It would be a very strange thing to do, to charge Americans double to get everything, while the rest of the world maintains one low price package deal. I have a feeling Netflix will be adding another tier to their subscription base for the PLE's in the future, if they're basically gonna treat treat them like PPV's again in the States. Otherwise, people will just work around it with VPN's.

All this money being thrown around and it's cool that studio rasslin is back on channel 17 in the Atlanta market (17 was TBS until 2009). Since NXT is technically studio rasslin.

So, are the PLE's exclusive to ESPN in 2026? You're gonna need Netflix for RAW and Smackdown, and need ESPN for the PLE's? Is that it?

I think in the U.S. (with no other means) you will need USA Network for Smackdown and the CW for NXT. Not to mention stuff like A&E if you watch the side stuff like LFG.

Say what you want about Vince McMahon, a sexual predator and whatnot……but the man never gouged his fans on ticket prices and PPV.

These TKO mofuckas are going to squeeze every dollar they can from a fanbase that isn’t exactly fulla Saudi Arabian princes until they consolidate the company and merge with another conglomerate so they can bail on the merger and collect the insurance while the sucker they merged with is left holding the bag.

The oddest thing to me is they are going into 2026 with only one big name and that is Roman. They won't have Hogan, Cena, Austin and The Rock will come and go as he pleases. Never thought I would say this but I miss the older days. Raw on Mondays, Smackdown on Fridays, side show (Heat) on Sundays and house shows on the weekends with only one day for the PLE.

The one thing that really sucks imo is not only will the prices increase all big events will be two night PLE's probably. PLE's should be reserved for the best and biggest in the company.

I don’t even know how much I’m paying for Netflix anymore.

Eventually all these streaming apps will stop being solo app and all become a bundle with live events and new movies costing extra and they’ll call it something like idk…..cable.

@My Spot more new stuff addded to the stream cause he's running that Great American Bash '85 video from the WWE Vault now

It doesnt

So I want to make sure I have all this bullshit right.

They are taking their PLEs off of Peacock which is like 10 bucks a month. And moving them to some bullshit ESPN/NFL nonsense, and it is going to be 30 dollars a month. But also, they are not moving the library over, so it is just the PLEs for 3 times their current cost. So they are going to charge us 300% more for significantly less content.

Make it make sense for those of us not financially staked into TKO and their bullshit

That sounds right. I'm confused on the bundling aspect.

I saw something on Facebook that said the PPV's will be free if you have an active cable subscription with ESPN, I have no idea if thats true though

Only a matter of time til WrestleMania is live on ESPN or ABC, which will be the culmination of Vince's big vision from 40 years ago

Did they ever put it on NBC during the Peacock era?

Nah, no fancy shows on NBC at all iirc

I think that's right. In the past I have used ESPN + through my directv login and had some access to things. I haven't recently though due to, as you said earlier, it being the worst media app ever to be in existence. I HATE IT SO MUCH!
