"Is it a black thing? Yes, it is! And that is not a 'prejudice' statement!" <lmao>

So now you people have to deal with ESPN's absolute garbage worst in the business trash app everytime you wanna watch UFC, WWE and NFL?

Thats hard times!

I hate that the pulled the plug on the Flair/Magnum feud though. Now he's stuck tagging with Manny.

Those first few episodes of JCP studio show after they took over the TBS time slot looked so crummy, they were dark as fuck until they figured out how to light the studio and position the cameras
That surprised me cause I assumed Techwood wouldve had studio techs with experience from GCW that helped out, maybe not

Well I wonder if the GCW production crew quit on Black Saturday and went with Ole's CWG promotion that filmed in Macon and Columbus.

Also listening to the BTS covering that week and I never knew how pissed USA was at Vince because now one of their competitors had WWF rasslin (and they were already mad about MTV getting the War to Settle the Score). USA was the original MSG Network and had shown Vince Sr rasslin in the 70s.

Also also that reminds me of how fun it was to be a baseball fan in FL in the 90s and all you needed was basic cable.

TBS: Braves
WGN: Cubs (and White Sox once the Bulls season ended)
WOR: Mets with Tim McCarver
Sunshine Network: Marlins AND Yankees
ESPN

Giants would've been on something too when they almost moved to Tampa. Probably the FL version of Sportsouth.

Most of them wouldnt have been needed at first since WWF's WCW show was just a studio recap show at first but they did have a full crew when they filmed those couple months of studio shows

I wasnt even thinking about that with my early morning foggy brain, I was thinking it went straight from GCW to JCP

WWF shows were lit great and looked professional, I wonder if Vince paid all the studio guys to call in sick for the first 3 weeks of Crockett shows just to fuck with em LoL

I dont even know how long WWF filmed live matches in Techwood, do you?

And he was on WOR which was also a super station like TBS, if he got the ESPN slot there woulde been no stopping him!

I'm surprised Vince didn't sell the slot back sooner, he ran The Omni in October 1984 with Hogan on top and they only sold 2000 tickets.

<6>

Even better when you dont watch none of that garbage, like ole Pete

The kid wins again

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Lapsed Fan did a retrospective about Summerslam 1998 and they also talk about the goings on in pop culture. God how lucky were we to exist during a time when 10 million people were watching cable rasslin on Monday nights, Jerry Springer was getting higher ratings than Oprah, Kid Rock had the best selling album, and Armageddon was #1 at the box office.

$29.99 a month for the ESPN subscription service. Will they follow the UFC model and charge for the Premium Live Events too?

Haven't watched any WWE since Mania. The Rumble probably would've been the show to pull me back in cause I can't miss the Rumble. But at $30 a month, fuck all that! I've been paying $2 a month for Peacock for years. $2 to $30 is a big ass leap!
