Did Double J inherit it from Jerry? Of course that son of a bitch is cashing checks from both companies!

No one knows who really owns it or what even exists, Lawler claims he does so maybe thats where this tape is from, but I doubt he has much of an actual tape library because he wouldve sold it to WWE a long time ago

Plus theres all those court cases over the years with Lawler scamming people with the USWA sale and what not so I dont know if he has actual ownership of anything, plus I really doubt theres much of an actual physical library left other than whats on Youtube taped off the tv shows, I bet the real tapes were all lost, destroyed or taped over decades ago

I believe Jeff has said something on My World that many territories didn't keep databases because they didn't think they would ever need them. So a lot of the time they were just using the same tape over and over again lol

If I said it once, I said at least 12 times, Randy Savage from 1984 through '87 or '88 was the greatest wrestler of all time, the complete presentation from the moment he stepped through the curtain to his entrance music, his robes, his crazy intense but technically flawless ring work, his promos, Miss Elizabeth, his elbow drop is the most beautiful and elegant finishing maneuver that ever existed, everything about him was perfection and no one has ever done it better, bar none!
The elbow drop gets all the shine but I love this move too

He makes it look so violent when he crashes down to the mat, you believe he just put all his weight on his opponents neck!

Mach never gave a damn about his knees.

"Mach, don't you think you take care of your knees more? Do some lower impact moves?"

"What?! Why you so concerned with MY knees?!"

Not a chance in hell it happens, but I'd like to see a double-turn with Cody and Cena at Summerslam. Cody feels stale as the white-meat babyface, Cena feels stale as the bitter heel. Cody "takes it too far" in the street fight, gets the title back but loses the fans. R-Truth confronts Cody, sets up a match at Clash in the Castle. Cena returns, costs Cody the belt, makes amends with R-Truth giving Truth a short run with the belt, Cena vs Cody one last time at Crown Jewel Perth. Use that to set up a big Survivor Series match, with that leading into Cena vs. Rock in December.

Yea, thats what most territories did, that 2 inch reel to reel wasnt cheap so they just bicycled it around to different television stations in the territory and then taped over it once they no longer needed that weeks footage any longer

No one knew there was gonna be a huge market for this stuff 30 years later, they were just trying to keep the lights on til February

Thats why most of the stuff out there is from the old tape trading crowd that would tape their home territories tv shows and trade with other people in different parts of the country through the fanzines like Meltzer's

The only reason so much Portland footage exists is because Playboy Buddy Rose bought a pre-VHS home tape machine so he could tape the show every week to watch himself LoL

Then you have all the Mid Atlantic/JCP stuff that Corny literally saved from a garbage dumpster outside the television studio

Without the first generations of obsessive nerds like us, so much more stuff would be lost forever

I wonder if he would've needed a hip replacement had he lived longer. They took the brunt of that bump every single night

Along with his opponents sternum!

I like his double axe handle smash off the top rope onto the guy standing out on the arena floor, that always looked like it hurt so bad because it probably did

This aint ballet! CM Punk does an elbow drop like that in a dream he better wake up and go apologize to Mach's gravesite.

It was a calculated risk. Mach was always trying to win the match. Trying to get to that next pay window. Miss Elizabeth wasn't cheap, jack!
