PWD PWD 1218: King Cody!

Clint did a cover of I Dont Think Hank Done It that Way that had me boogie-ing down so frickin hard, I love that song so much

I was surprised how long he played, started at 8 oclock and went over 90 minutes cause we missed the beginning of the fireworks show at 9:30 cause he was still doing an encore when it started
 
I guess I stood out at the concert too cause before the show I had some white guy come over and ask me if I was really a Clint Black fan or if I was just there as part of the fair, I was wearing long shorts, tall white socks, white T and Air Force 1's so Im sure I looked like a cholo to all them white folks LoL
 
I also bought this frickin vegetable peeling and chopping kit because they had one of those infomercial carnies there and he was doing the whole fast talking rhythmic carny spiel and he had me enraptured

You guys may not know this about me but ole Pete loves a carny and I was standing there half drunk watching him quickly twist and turn and maneuver about these fast chop gimmicks all over a buncha fruits and veggies and working that fast talking sales pitch at the same "I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do I'm gonna chop the price in half just like I chopped that onion but I can see you don't like that so we're gonna slice another 10 dollars like I sliced that carrot oh but that doesnt have ya either so how bout I peel 10 more dollars like I'm peeling this potato"

By the time he got to 35 bucks he had me but I got em down to 30 so I had to buy it just for the entertainment

He had a Youtube address to watch his video but I didnt scan it into my phone, I really wish I would have cause I have no frickin idea what this stuff does

I know the little red thing is for coring jalapenos but thats about it

It looks like they went with more of the campy stuff from comic book lore. Not sure how that will transfer to the big screen. The guy they cast as Superman seems kind of goofy from the trailers I have seen, but I understand that I am not really in the age bracket that these movies are targeted at anymore. It seems like a lot of entertainment these days is being in on the joke that all this stuff is ridiculous more so than suspend my disbelief and entertain me.

The actor does look a bit goofy compared to other Supermans. I hope it doesnt have some undertone of "this is a joke and not to be taken serious" or whatever like you were saying. Because thats how it felt with Thor lately. Guess they didnt want some white, blonde, jacked guy booked too strong so they had to feminize him and turn him into a fat drunk comedy act. Im not really concerned too much to be honest. I just think it's interesting who they bury and push and why.
 
I ordered the same thing this time at the fair that I did last time, one chicken and veggie skewer and bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers but the skewer was way huger than last time with hecka meat and veggies, I couldnt finish it so I took two giant hunks of chicken and also a full order of ribs home for Roxie

The jalapeno poppers were insanely hot this time, I only ate one and it was burning my mouth hecka so I didnt eat the other two, last time they werent hot at all so I easily scarfed down all 3

At the end of the night I ordered a giant pile of curly fries covered in chili and cheese and brought em home, I was so drunk I just passed out as soon as I got home and ate em yesterday as I laid in bed hungover

One of my favorite parts of going to the auto show was always the guys hawking all the car gimmicks. I always remember this thing and the dude would have a hood with about ten coats of turtle wax on it to show how easily you can dry your car after a wash! It just wipes right off!

@RollSonnenRoll my wife was getting me Red Bulls yesterday. I drank 5. Each had 110 calories so I had freaking 550 calories. Well, today I went to the bar to start slamming Red Bulls again and it turns out they have sugar free Red Bulls with 10 calories a pop!

 
@RollSonnenRoll the monster trucks were nowhere to be seen and I'm sorry to say this little tiny spit of a horse track with these itty bitty speed bumps appears to be where they were gonna be running, not sure how much maneuvering theyre gonna be able to do in there cause them guard rails got em pretty much boxed in
