I remember after CM Punk's AEW debut I said the party was over, that was the best part and its all down hill..

I got push back(not from here) and people trying to convince me his stuff since has been good. It's been mid.

But I saw his Thug Life promo on youtube just now and now feelin extremely justified.

That guy fucking sucks. lol

He's washed. Been for years. I never even thought he was this great worker everyone seemed to think he was in his prime. Guy always moved in slow motion to me and came off as a whiny, disingenuous geek. But the average person isnt hard to fool so hes been and is still over.

@RollSonnenRoll speaking of great singers. I stumbled on this interview of my GOAT Dio doing an interview from 1985. He talks a little about the occult and his disapproval of black magic. Which if you listen to his lyrics you could tell he was always into white magic and trying to promote goodness. But anywho, he gets asked about Ozzy Osbourne and shoots on him which I thought was pretty funny. Timestamped but the whole interview is good.

"Was if hard to step into Ozzy's shoes?

"Well it's not very hard to step into someone's shoes who has been barefoot his whole life" "How can anyone compare Ozzy Osbourne to Ronnie Dio especially as a singer"

Lmao, I mean he aint wrong. Ozzy's a good singer but Dio is god tier. There is levels to this shit.

@moonwolf would have liked this interview

<DCrying>

His biggest contribution, the devil horns, he always said was some sort of pagan hand symbol from his grandmother to ward away evil spirits and not welcome them.

But to say that the Black Sabbath albums did better when he joined the band than with Ozzy....ehhhhh, I don't know, Jim! That's just factually incorrect lol

A lot of musicians felt this way though. Ozzy was a character. A very good character that sold a lot of tickets and was smart enough to surround himself with good musicians and writers to take care of everything.

Im not really sure what he meant there. It felt like he meant more that the band vibed better and the music quality was better maybe not that it made more money. Ozzy is kind of retarded and obviously not as talented as a singer or songwriter as Dio but, yeah, Black Sabbath was way more over with Ozzy. Ive always respected great singers who also wrote their own stuff. Writing great songs show a lot of emotional depth and a higher level of consciousness. Just about anyone can hold a tune and work a gimmick. If the machine wants to push you then you will get over to a certain extent.

Man wrestling was so much simpler back then.

I really believe that Magnum TA is the biggest What If? ever. Duce had it all and could easily have been the next big thing. Maybe not the next Hogan, but pretty damn close.

@Pittie Petey That reminds me. JBL has replaced Bruce on Something to Wrestle and I check in every now and again. He talked about Magnum being the first real anti-hero babyface he can remember seeing. That seemed like a bold statement but I was intrigued in our statesmen's thoughts
