Where is your Thunderbolts* review dammit!!!
I liked it but didnt love it as much as you and a lot of folks in the Mayberry thread did, its not GOTG level for me but it is definitely up there with the first couple Avengers movies, which I thought were great
Really loved that fine ass Florence Pugh and the way she was moping around in the beginning, that was hilarious
I dont know anything about The Sentry character but I really frickin loved everything about the way he was portrayed here, especially when he was fully formed and giving his speech up in the penthouse skyscraper and he looked dope as fuck when he was floating in the sky covered in the void or whatever
When he first appeared in costume with his fancy pants new hairdo and was giving his speech, the way he was speaking and his head movements reminded me of someone but I could not figure out who, when I saw his name in the credits I realized he was Bill Pullman's son and he was reminding me of Pullman in Independence Day, I really like that young actor
David Harbour was good as the comic relief washed up tough guy looking for one last moment of glory, his mid credits scene was hilarious and he was even better in the post credits scene
Im just never gonna be a fan of Bucky no matter what movie he appears in, just do not care for him at all
I dont know the other ones so Im guessing i missed whatever shows or movies they debuted in, I am curious about the Captain America guy, though, what other MCU was he in?
Elaine was great as always and I absolutely loved the last 30 seconds of the main film when that carny bitch turned it around on them and got to live another day, it reminded me of Pappy O'Daniel introducing the Soggy Bottom Boys, it made LoL out loud for reals
The storyline was solid, the action was great, MCU is always gonna present a top notch production and make everything look cool, powerful and bad ass and this was no different
I frickin loved the hilarious newspaper headlines during the credits and the post credits scene was superb, although I did not like that it appears to have already answered a major question we all had going into the, well not gonna spoil it but you know what Im talking about
All in all a damn fine upper midcard entry into the MCU, I dont got it as a main eventer like a lot of people do but with the terrible PPV's the MCU has been booking lately, a solid meat and potatoes upper midcard storyline feels very refreshing and whets the appetite for the big Summer blockbuster we got headed our way in two months
6 Thumbs Up Outta 7
