I do think it interrupted people going to the theatre and they got used to watching movies at home. The studios also have it on streaming fairly soon after a theatre run so that's always in the back of your mind. Once I didnt see Gladiator 2 int he first two weekends, it was already in my mind "I'll just stream it"

Thats why I rush to the theaters on Day 1 for the same exact reason, "This is gonna be on streaming in a matter of weeks, I better go watch it now while I can!"

I'm a member of a lot of Michigan Wolverines fan groups on Facebook and obviously theres gonna be a lotta cross over with Detroit Lions fans on there so all the chatter today has been about how our beloved Michigan legend Mikey Sainristil caught two interceptions for the Washington group yesterday to beat the Lions and then tomorrow we get to set there munching on popcorn and watch the two teams we hate most in this world battle it out in the National Championship game

Bad weekend for this crowd LoL

Meant to post that in the CFB thread

Dang it, nothing going right for us Michiganders!

@My Spot peep this fan cam footage of a house show match between Hulk Hogan vs Jesse Ventura at the Met Center in Minneapolis on April 20,1985
Mean Gene is accompanying the Hulkster and the guy with Jesse is apparently "Big Chick" Huntsberry who was Prince's bodyguard at the time
This woulda been one of the first times WWF invaded Verne's territory and they made sure to load the main event with all Minnesota stars

Plus the broads Jesse and Big Chick brought with em into the ring LoL

This should have been the Wrestlemania 2 main event, Pete.

Every time I watch Jesse's matches, I'm always pretty amazed about how mobile he is. He sells and flops around really well for a big guy. Very fluid. His offense is terrible but that wasn't his job as a heel back then

"Paul, the time is upon us..."
"The time is now! It's the match that both men have to win and neither man can afford to lose!"

I just watched that rumble on Netflix. (The Ric flair one)
It was the first time winning the RR actually meant something and is still the GOAT RR. 2001 comes close.
Also you probably watched the edited version where WWE dubbed crowd noise over the cheers when Sid eliminated Hogan and the boos when Hogan pulled Sid out of the ring.

Jesse was jealous of Hogan and was too butthurt to ever work with him.

Thumbs down!

I loved the Hogan vs Bundy storyline and still do to this day, it gave me one of my all time favorite neckbeard memories so I vehemently disagree with you, Roll, vehemently!!

You mean poor sport Hogan? I don’t know why anyone liked him. Andre wanted a shot he says no Andre were friends, he sleeves on macho man’s gf, and cheats when he’s being beat!

I he could see him replacing Piper against Hogan at The Wrestling Classic in November '85, which was WWF's very first attempt at a national PPV supercard and was supposed to be the launch of their new WrestleVision gimmick that only lasted that one single PPV, it was scrapped after the show didnt do great numbers
