Gonna expose The Business a bit. There is a concept in Jungian psychology called the Collective Unconscious. It's one of the most controversial concepts in psychology. Long story short, our history can sort of get encoded in our DNA and passes on in future generations. It explains why similar themes occur in mythologies around the world with cultures who had no contact with each other. I wouldn't be surprised if some of these actors can tap into it, knowingly or unknowingly.

That's your own personal belief. I'm talking about in the movie. If they were trying to go for some realism then that's what it is. But then again, I'm not sure how many black guys were in a position of power back then so...

I don't talk about humiliation rituals. I think it's lame how that is a thing now with people who don't even understand symbolism or occult concepts. They calling everything a humiliation ritual just muddies the water which is what THEY want!
