@Based God It was good. I'd give it an 8. I'll have to watch it a couple more times.

I really liked all of the appearances of Satan in the background throughout the movie. After I watched I looked it up to see if I missed any and I actually missed a few appearances. The internet has found 10 confirmed appearances and I definitely missed a couple of those.

I also loved the way the movie was shot and the non stop dread from start to finish, even in scenes where it's just 2 FBI agents sitting in an office talking, it feels like pure dread.

The scene I had heat with was at the end of the movie after her own curse got broken and she went to Ruby's birthday party. She got her memories back, knew how to stop the curse with the dolls, but didn't immediately shoot the doll in the head. She let Agent Carter murder his wife when she didn't have to and then of course she's out of bullets when she's finally like "oh yeah, I can just shoot this doll in the head". Also Agent Carter and nobody else thought it was weird people were being killed based on their daughter's birthday being on the 14th of the month and his own daughter's birthday was on the 14th and Harker's birthday was on the 14th and nobody at the FBI was like "that's weird". I'm just nitpicking way too much and didn't let it ruin the movie for me or anything though.

One thing I noticed in the credits was Adult Ruby Carter being listed, but no Adult Ruby in the movie. I wonder if there was supposed to be an after credits scene or something with Adult Ruby continuing the story since her curse wasn't broken. Although even that doesn't make sense, because Agent Harker can destroy the damn doll whenever she wants lol

i think the idea with the curse was it was the doll and the mom. Id have to watch it again to see if that makes sense, but it seems the mom was part of the dark magic involved. She said she even had to stay at the murders to make sure they died how satan wanted them to or whatever. Even when Harker's curse breaks she didnt shoot the doll, the mom did. So, the ending I think the mom needed to die first or the mom had to destroy the doll to break it. The dolls could have been symbolism for trauma based mind control like MK ultra. The dolls symbolizing the trauma and the mom symbolizing the handler.

I think Carter knew the murders were taking place on his daughter's birthday. He was uncharacteristically agressive and assertive when he told Harker that Longlegs was acting alone. The whole movie he was cool and in control until then. It felt like he was scared and didnt want to believe it. He was in denial.

It was a pretty neat movie. I liked how from the very beginning they acknowledged psychic powers. They didn't really dive too deep into anything occult, it was a fairly simple story about how evil influences this world but done well which I appreciate. To enjoy the movie you have to accept supernatural and the occult. If someone goes into this movie thinking it's some crime drama they will be missing the whole point. I think anything Nic Cage's production company is involved with is going to have a target audience in mind who gets that and the people who don't will learn to not watch them.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing with the mom still having some sort of control over Harker, but I second guessed myself when Harker was able to shoot Carter before Carter killed Ruby. The mom seemed pissed off like the plan didn't fully come to fruition before Harker shot her, so I wasn't really sure on that. My best guess is Longlegs plan all along was to torture Harker by having Harker kill her own mom, but I'm not really sure. Ending definitely left a lot to interpret.

I wish there was more, but at the same time I don't want there to be. Like getting a backstory on Longlegs would be cool, but I don't want a money grab sequel either just because this one did really well at the box office. I wouldn't mind them just leaving this one alone.

All Japan just buried one of their new top guys they've been building by having his 2nd Triple Crown reign flop at 78 days and 1 defense......to make Davey Boy Smith Jr. the Triple Crown Champion<lol> <lmao>

Feel like any time All Japan gets any sort of momentum they're like "nah, I'm good, can't be having a good product".

I love how TK pays Omega big money and gives him a huge, life threatening injury angle, only to have him just pop up on a different show. These AEW guys have it so unbelievably good.

@Pliny Pete I love this and never knew about it. Evidently, Friends, Mad About You, and Madman of The People all had an episode about a blackout in NYC that aired on the same night. NBC trying to say they all take place in the same universe and ol' Larry said "that doesn't work for me, brother" and just did a normal episode <lmao>

I can just picture Larry's face. "nah!"

I didn't know about this either, surprised also cause I didn't think Seinfeld was a powerhouse by '94 that would've had enough clout to say no, but then again I guess Larry David didn't give a fuck either way and would've said no just on principle

are any of u degenerates doing no nut November? I think a demon infiltrated my testes two years ago and has been controlling my heads ever since. I think no nut November may be a way to exercise this demon out. My question is does sexual intercourse with your significant other count or is it just self mutilation we withdraw from for the month ? Tagging out sexual intercourse experts @Blunderbuss and @Stargazer Rex

Either way, I cannot do this alone, and if any of you all are doing this let’s commiserate together.

@My Spot BTS is 2003 this week but it has O'Connor on it so I might check out a few parts, the Hawk Memorial Show and also Teddy Hart going wild at an ROH show, thats probably interesting

AEW is doing a show on January 5th at the Tokyo Dome the night after New Japan's big Tokyo Dome show. AEW wrestlers will be wrestling New Japan wrestlers, Kenny has always been one of the focal selling points of AEW's Tokyo Dome show, so they have him out there selling it.

They haven't forgotten his injury angle either. Kenny has been talking about getting his revenge on The Young Bucks and Okada in every interview in Japan. They were building Kenny Omega teaming with Hiroshi Tanahashi to fight the Young Bucks at the January 5th show, but Nick Jackson has been wrestling with a hurt shoulder for months and he just got written off of AEW TV, so they had to pivot to Kenny wrestling someone else. Dirtsheets are saying Nick Jackson should be ready for the show, but they might've decided to save that match for later in case he isn't.

No nut means NO nut, zero, zilch, nada, nein, zippo.

It's also stupid.

@Based God did you like Color out of Space?

Haven't seen it yet.

Funny enough I had tickets to see a special screening, but couldn't go. For some reason never got around to watching it.

I've been wanting to re-watch Mandy again, maybe I'll do that this weekend and do a double feature with Mandy and Color Out of Space.
