Concert was really fun
Started out with dinner at Smoking Pig BBQ, which I didnt realize was directly across the street from the San Jose Earthquakes soccer stadium, so I got to get my first ever views of a new stadium I never saw before, its an open stadium so I got to get a nice look at the seating areas from right there in the parking lot, you know I enjoyed that
Food was pretty good but I hated the vibe of the restaurant, I didnt realize we were going to a place right in the heart of the techie billionaire business section, not for me, I'm a man of the people
Got to the arena in plenty of time so I moseyed around a bit but didnt see no Giants/Sharks shirts but I did get a cool nerd moment
I took the elevator down to the arena floor which drops you back in the bowels of the building so I got to walk down the hallway and enter the arena through a curtain just like a pro wrestler and you better believe with all your heart and soul that ole Pete whipped that curtain open, strutted into the building and let out the loudest WOOOOOOOOOOO!!! and started shaking my fists in the air yelling "Lets go! Lets do this! YEAAA!!!!!!!!!!"
The arena was quiet so all the fans and ushers turned to look at me like what the fuck, I embarrassed the shit outta my lady friend LoL
RBL Posse was first and they were the people I most wanted to see, they put on a dope medley set of 90's classics with their little 15 minutes
Lighter Shade Of Brown was dope, telling stories about working shows at different Chicano festivals in the Bay Area back in the olden days, entire show was hosted by Chuy Gomez who is a long time Bay Area hip hop radio legend so they were reminiscing about old times together
Baby Bash was alright, he brought a special needs dude with him to be a second hype man, not sure if it was his son, that was cool
Too Short had the crowd rocking as always
Several Mac Dre tributes like always, everyone knows you'll get a big pop everytime you mention Mac D-R-E in the Bay
Then came Xzibit so we went up to have shots at the bar in the main concourse lobby
Came back down at the end of his set
DJ Quik put on a dope set, he was walking through the crowd poppin bottles of champagne spraying em everywhere and pouring em in chicks mouths, some chick tried to take a huge swig and almost spewed everywhere LoL, as he was also rapping and smoking blunts, entire arena was sparking up the Devil's lettuce everywhere
Didnt really pay attention to the Dogg Pound, I was too busy canoodling with my lady friend
Some chick in the row behind me was trying to mack on me even though she was with her dude, she kept giving me the eye and whenever her dude left she would start talking to me, complimenting my OG gangster ensemble
Didnt really pay attention to Ja Rule either
Bone Thugs came out but about 3 songs into their set my lady friend said she wanted to go back to the hotel and do stuff(I think Ja Rule got her going) so we left, if I woulda known "doing stuff" meant shoving her fucking foot down my gullet I woulda stayed at the show!
All in all, it was a really fun night and a spectacular end to another great concert season for ole Pete
