A lot of guys are inept and incompetent so they want their wife acting like their mom doing everything for them. There are certain aspects of being a mother that I appreciate - patience, nurturing, compassion. But I value my freedom too much to want my wife being my mom. That shit is weird to me and it will limit your growth. We had a weird dynamic for a bit where the roles were actually reversed. I was more like my wife's father and telling her everything she needed to do. I have pretty decent leadership traits when Im healthy, but when I had my issues I pretty much had to tell her I'm too fucked up to being doing all that now and I think it's going to get worse. Spoiler: it got worse lmao. But to her credit she stepped up. Held everything down and go her degree with a 4.0 and became a teacher.
