One thing about these fights on the friends and family circuit is that people start leaving after their friend or family member fights so the curtain jerkers usually play to a much bigger crowd than the main eventers

The floor was completely sold out and there was a lot of standing room only tickets behind the seats so the floor was pretty packed and the first several rows of lower bowl seats were filled too, it was a decent house, but by the time the co-main and main went on there was only about 500 people or maybe even less left in the building

Its just a weird little thing that I only experience at the fights, not at any other sporting events or shows
So they get to work the bigger house and can make it back to the hotel before room service stops

@Pliny Pete oh and the kid took 3rd place. He won by forfeit his last match. His opponent disappeared lol. My son saw him like 10 minutes before the match was to start but he never showed up. There was a pretty good moral victory for him yesterday. He wrestled his teammate who is a senior and a state qualifier. This is the kid that beat him for his spot and made him drop down a weight class. You may remember me saying I was frustrated because they didn't make that kid make 177 instead they let him wrestle my son for his spot at 185 and my son was 175. Plus they made my son have a wrestle off before that match(the other kid didnt). He lost his spot, he lost the match 6-0.

Well, they had to wrestle yesterday and they were close in weight. My son was 180 and he was 183. It was a close back and forth battle. My son lost 8-6. Things went a little different when they were on an even playing field.

And nothing against that kid. He didn't make the rules for the wrestle off. He's a good kid and comes from a good family. I'm gratefull my son has him to train with sometimes. He's a state qualifier. You have to be good to make state in this state. His little brother is also my son's main training partner and friend.

How come they had on different color singlets, are they on different teams outside of school or something?

They can wear their own singlets since this tournament isn't school related. Its the off season. But ain't no off season when you trying to be the best, Pete! Compete all fucking year, dawg!

I hope we open with a Great Segment , 5 star Match and Dream Match in the first hour
