Way ahead of you! I did pop at the end of the movie when they bring in Pam Anderson, saying she'd been heading up the Hawaii division. Should have been a Baywatch Nights reference somewhere in the movie though.
ok
godzilla said u can have 150k yen and travel paid,
but u have to leave in an hour cuz ur flight stops in alaska and u will need to walk across the bering land bridge.
@Ozymandias Finished Hannibal. I really liked it but I'm glad to be done with it. It was just relentless with the murders and tortures every single episode to end my day. The Dusty finishes, omg the Dusty finishes drove me crazy. How many times did people die and then be in the very next scene? It got to where I couldn't take any scene seriously because it had no real stakes. So many dream sequences and visual metaphors
Obviously, Mads is the highlight. He was amazing. He managed to take one of the most iconic cinematic characters and put his own spin on it and it be just as good imo. I loved that he wasn't just doing an Anthony Hopkins impression the entire time. I also highly enjoyed how we always see his cell as what Hannibal is envisioning it as. His office and museums. That was such a cool effect and made me imagine how Hannibal is doing that all through Silence.
Overall, I didn't find Will, Jack, Dr. Bloom or any of the protagonists that likable. Like Halloween Kills, I was kinda wanted the villain to just kill them all and be done with it. I know Dr Chilton is an asshole but damn they loved to fuck him up every season!
Gillian Anderson was also a cool character and fine as hell. Her and Hannibal's little Bonnie and Cly run in Florence was my favorite part of the series
Hannibal and Will going Mega Powers on the Red Dragon was badass though. And given how the show was with deaths, my interpretation was that ofocurse they both survived off a 100 ft cliff and were killing Bedelia in the end.
One of the things I loved most was how different Mads Mikkelsen played it. He is what drew me to the show because I knew of him beforehand and really couldn't believe he was playing Hannibal Lecter on a show made by CBS.
I hear a lot of yout complaints and that's probably why it got canceled. Honestly I think putting this on CBS was stupid. Your show has to be easily accessible to be on CBS and this wasn't. It had flashbacks, dream sequences, etc all things that confuse the casual viewer. Had it got picked up by a streaming service I think it would've thrived. I hate how it ended because I knew it was getting canceled but it is what it is.

It was 10 years ahead of its time. This show needed to be streaming not on a network. I can just imagine my mom(who loved Silence and showed it to me for the first time) tuning in and then seeing Will's constant visions of Hannibal as the Elk monster and thinking WTF lol.
I looked it up and it had terrible time slots as well, 10 PM on Thursday and 10 pm on Friday. Who's watching TV at 10 o'clock on a Friday.......
